I am new at vaping, and also new to this forum. I have been reading since yesterday a lot. It seems as though from what I have read to date I must be one of the very few that uses her vaping as an actual aid to stop smoking.

I noticed a few times that I was vaping way to much, and have been cutting down on vaping. I actually quit smokes a few months ago and only started on the ecig about 3 weeks ago. I seem to do more vap while sitting at my computer then anything else.

I don't want to be addicted to any type of smoking, ecig or regular cigs. I started using the E-Cig to help me with my habbit of stopping regular smokes. Wow, this has helped a great deal but when I start to vap too much I am realizing that this will lead me to smoking again if I happen to have no new supplies on hand to continue my vaping.

I suppose I need to ween myself down, and thank goodness I found this forum. I see the precautions I must take in order that vaping doesn't turn into as big of a habbit and cost as regular smokes did.

I am not putting anyone down because I really believe that e smoking is way better then regular cigs. I'm glad for those that switched. If you cannot quit smoking, this is the way to go. For me, I really want to cut all type of smoking out, so I must work hard in lowering my vap.

I wouldn't have realized all this for me if I hadn't signed up for this forum and read. I will always be an advocate for e cigs, I just want for me again to get off it all.

Ween time....oh wait...no...I'll put the pen down...no wait...no not going to pick it up for another hour. muhaha

I think the vast majority of users vape in order to stop smoking.

I'm not sure what fluid(s) you are vaping, but the vast majority of suppliers offer no, or low nicotine e-juices, so you can ween yourself off of the nicotine.

Since you stated that you had already quit smoking, I'm not sure if you are already using 0 nicotine e-juice or not, but it's something to consider.

Habit is a hard thing to break. There are triggers that make me want to smoke like: Sitting at the computer, playing guitar, driving, talking on the phone, etc, etc.

Now when there's a trigger, I reach for my PV instead of a cigarette, and I'm perfectly fine with that.

Unless you buy a ton of juice and mods every week vaping can never cost you as much as cigs did and I honestly dont think vaping leads back to smoking. Smoke makes me cough now, I hate the smell of ashtrays intensely so using one would be almost impossible. I dont mind the smell of lit cigs as long as I dont get smoke in my face, and Im not going to be an anti smoker because I hated them when i smoked and dont want to be one now lol. If you try a cig after vaping a while, which I have, you will know yourself that the 2 arent that comparable. One is tasty and one isn't. When Ive been without supplies (rare now) I dont smoke because it leaves a nasty taste in my mouth - I jsut suffer lol. Usually its not for more than a day and I have some old harsh liquid I keep around as a standby emergency supply.
If you want to wean yourself off vaping then you WILL eventually get there; time your vaping sessions if you have to and don't go over it. Work your way down to 0 nic juices. There are many people who used PV as a springboard for quitting everything successfully, and they have said they found it far easier to quit vaping than smoking, but tbh a lot of us liked smoking, now prefer vaping, and enjoy nicotine.
