Hay everyone; let’s hold down the vaping on the planes. If a “nurse Cratchet” type Flight Attendant busts you will be banned from that server and it could make fuel for an eventual ban on us carrying PV’s on board then we won’t have anything to smoke in the AP’s waiting for connections.

I agree, If you're jonesin' that bad just sneak in the restroom. Won't set off the smoke alarm, as far as I know.

There actually was a lady vaping on the flight I was on. I overheard two flight attendants talking about her. The one asked the other if it was okay or not, and the other one said no, so they asked her to stop.

BTW for those interested I got the last stitches out of my eye and can see 100% better. Still not completely clear and I have another operation on it, AGAIN, but I'm happy I can see as good as I can. ]

To ovoid the thread hijack (no pun intended), direct me to the thread where you described the problem with your eye?

Yup and if he would just stop squirting ejuice in his eye, he would be in good shape!

Funny, I've never thought of vaping on a plane. Since I've started vaping I don't tend to vape any place I wouldn't have smoked. IMHO, I started vaping to stop a very bad habbit! It just seems to me while vaping is definately the better choice, why vape some where I wouldn't have smoked, it will just make the safer, friendlier habbit a worse one.

I do however ocassionally take a sneak vape when I am in a deserted isle in home depot. Not sure why there and only there, but I do.

Six I'd fly with you...unless you're a crop duster LOL!!

I'm afraid so. Just about 5 weeks a year, anyway. I've never taken a passenger in the Stearman, though... It only holds 1 extra person. And, there's no canopy, so most people would be pretty uncomfortable in our biplane. Lots of power, lots of lift, turns on a dime like driving a porche... but no amenities like stewardess, bathroom, reclining seats, etc. - The rest of the year if I need to fly, I'm co-owner of a Cessna 320, and a relative has a Cessna 182 that I get to use whenever I feel like getting his maintenance taken care of. Another relative has a Twin Otter, but that machine is too rich for my blood. I couldn't even pay the taxes on something like that even if someone flat out gave it to me.

The reason I was curios about 5cards eye is that my doc is trying to talk me in to a surgery. I have a problem in my right eye that will start to threaten both my pilot license and my CDL in the near future. They want to open my eye, drain out the fluid, and replace the fluid with saline. If I don't let them do it, I'll probably be grounded in a couple of years.

I grew up on a farm and I remember the crop duster who did our fields. Most people have no idea how dangerous a job that is!!

I have a love/hate relationship with small planes. My father crashed his Piper Cub and perished in 1965, I still have all the FAA investigation pictures and report.

I can only imagine the tug of war you must feel being faced with a delicate surgery or having to give up flying...when it's in your blood it's there for a lifetime! I hope it turns out ok for you!

Well, the return trip today was a much better experience. I decided to just leave everything all together and threw the BP in the little basket along with the wallet, coins, etc. All of the juice went in withe toothpaste, shampoo, etc., and the batts/charger went into the laptop case. Not even a single question this time.

Guess I'll have to rescind my snide comments/pics about the TSA. NAH!
