1. No one likes to be post number 1 so I'll post here with a little background on how I got into vaping. Both myself and D were tired of paying an arm and leg for cigarettes and seen an ad for 510 kits and got curious. Bought 1 kit for both of us to share and it was all down hill from there and havent looked back.

I was ordering a drink when the guy on the bar stool next to me pulled out a Joye 510, took a puff and blew out a cloud. I asked what it was and if i could try it. It was love at first sight. Then he pulled out a Leo with some orange creamsicle in it and let me try that. I tried to buy his from him on the spot. He refused and said if i give him my e-mail address he would send me a link. The next day I ordered a 510 mega from madvapes. Moved on to an E-Go. Now vaping a Phidias. Havent saved a penny but i enjoy it more and i can puff on the job and i dont have to go outside and freeze. I've since converted about 8 of my friends.

"Down hill"?? I think what you meant to say was 'uphill', because the other one implies that things were not going well for you, which obviously they are!! :thumb: Keep up the good work!!

Hey Candy, I just placed an order and got it today - does that count for the contest...or is it $10.00 orders after this thread was started?

I honestly don't remember how I got into vaping. I knew I wanted to quit smoking cigarettes, I found one of those way-overpriced RN4081 packages. I ordered it for $90 or so. When I got it, I started researching on the internet and found ecf.com. I saw there was a whole world of vaping I didn't even know about. I saw everyone was saying that the eGo was the best device and far surpassed the crap I was suckered into buying. So I returned my first one (got 3/4 of my money back after a month of sending them emails. 25% restocking fee - a bunch of BS!) So I vaped an eGo til a week ago when I bought an Apex Alpha Ultra. Now my friends ask me for advice hehe.

The very first e-cig I ever saw was a V4L that my boyfriends best friends wife had. She had peanut butter flavored cartos which were awful, don't make that flavor please~! I did a bunch of research on them, then promptly put it on the back burner for a few months until I switched jobs.

My work was offering a healthy lifestyle credit on my insurance that I really wanted so I set a quit date and got a prescription for Chantix from my Dr. Worst.side effects.EVER~! Then I rememered e-cigs. I went pretty quickly from a disposable, to an overpriced smoke shop kit, then a kr808d1, ego, box mod, then mod fever hit, lol.

I started vaping in September, but struggled hard to actually quit. On New Years I quit for 15 days but stress at work dragged me back in. Mid Feb I lost my job and kinda moped around for a bit. Had my last cigerette on March 28th and I have no desire to smoke again~!

Thanks for the awesome contest candy~!

This is going to be long so bear with me.

My husband and I have been together 11 years now. However, he has only been in the states for 3 years. He's a Finn and had to wait for release from military service (which is compulsory) before we could finally be together. In the 4 or so months leading up to him finally coming home, things were not so great. As an ex-smoker, we know what happens when we get stressed, we return to things that calm us down. My beloved has never smoked and I tried so very hard to quit. I've done patches, Chantix (which I'm allergic to) and Lobelia Tincture. Each would take my level of analogs down but quitting...just wasn't happening.

Several times over the last 3 years my husband and I have discussed e-cigs. It was always that they were too expensive. At this point we have a 20 month old and deep down I knew every drag of an analog was cutting my life shorter. I need to be around for a long time for both of my children as well as my husband.

3 weeks ago, something happened that made me say enough. I'm a belly dancer and one of the biggest taboos is to be seen smoking. My troupe had our first professional performance and during intermission the only 3 of us that smoke went outside. It was raining and we had to take cover under a set of stairs that was the fire exit. We all know how absolutely MISERABLY smoking outside in the rain is, I'm sure.

A week later, I ordered my first e-cig and I have no intention of looking back. Now my costuming won't smell like old, nasty ashtray!

Thank you, Candy, for the contest AND your amazing juices.

I quit smoking 5 1/2 years ago, after 20 years of smoking 1.5 - 2 packs a day. I didn't smoke for 5 years. In those 5 years I would rarely have a craving for a cigarette, and of course on those very rare occasions I did have one, I smoked 1 or 2 puffs and put it out. My husband is even a smoker, and his smoke didn't bother me nor would it make me miss smoking. That was it, I was an ex-smoker and damn proud of it.

Well about 6 months ago, I started a new project at work. More stressful then my last project, and for whatever reason I found myself craving the occasional cigarette. Then we had company for the holidays, all smokers. That was the beginning of the end. I started smoking just one a day, then two, then three and before I knew it I was back to 1.5 packs a day. All the while I kept telling myself I needed to quit, and I was going to quit. Just as soon as I took a trip for two weeks, and the trip came and went and I was still smoking. (next comes the really stoopid excuse) Just as soon as I lost five more pounds, and the weight came off and I was still smoking. Just as soon as..., well you get the idea.

I realized that part of the reason, actually most of the reason I was smoking was more for the habit of smoking and less because of a heavy nicotine addiction. I was smoking 1.5 packs a day, but I was only smoking 1/3 of each cigarette. Mostly it was way for my brain to shut off for a few seconds or minutes. I would mindlessly light up, puff a few puffs and put the cigarette out.

I really needed to quit, again, and I was afraid that it would take me longer then I wanted to find the will power. That was when I remembered, I watched an episode of the TV show Detroit 1-8-7, and someone on the show was smoking an e-cig. At the time it didn't really register. Once I remembered it, I started doing research and decided I would try e-cigs to see if it would curb my desire for analogs. Even if it turned out it isn't any healthier, and I really hoped it was, at least I wouldn't smell like sale tobacco, my mouth wouldn't taste like an ashtray and I wouldn't feel like I was killing my dogs slowly with every drag.

So... two weeks ago my first 808 kit arrived with some pre-filled cartos and I haven't smoked an analog since. I'm only vaping 6mg nic, and I'd like to get down to 0 nic. If I do great and if I don't well, I still feel great.

That won't be an issue for me, as soon as I get some cash up I'll be picking some up.

The sampler pack i got from you didn't last long me and the wife were fighting over the girl scout cookie, so i grabbed the D's all day and demolished that in no time, and so on every one has been stellar, except while tasty the caramel was all over my atty for two days.

I'll write up a story here soon, bought my wife the leo, and I still use my flashlight mod. I've been wanting to try an ego since i started vaping but it's never been in the cards financially.

Free bump for an awesome juice maker. who knows maybe luck will smile on me:)

What got me into vaping...hmm....Brother called and said he saw some dude smoking an ecig. Obviously I thought he was sippin grampas cough syrup again, but I gave him the 3rd degree till he gave up the info. It wasnt long ago when I was taking the kids to the park, tried to hold em in an arm and swing down the zipline with them. That just wasnt happening. Daddy was getting tired of sitting on the bench cause he couldnt breathe. This dad isnt about TELLING my girls how to play on monkey bars, Im gonna SHOW em....Well, daddy was looking a mess. Chantix didnt work, wifey didnt want to quite, yada yada...So we gave e cigs a shot. Now, my first kit was 150 bucks, and an outright mockery to the industry, but I saw a light. I did some searching, found ecf, and started asking questions. Next thing ya know, Im all over a mega 510, SD, prodigy, etc. Me and wifey are still smoke free over a year later. She is on 0 nic, Im still on 18, and vape like nobody's business, and dont care. So, thats my dog and pony show, the rest is history. I'll simply say- WOOT WOOT! :p
PS- Now I hold 2 kids in one arm down the zipline....eat my vapor smoking daddies!
