A visit from the Squonk Fairy

The Squonk Fairy paid me my first visit today! Silver Vein Grand with the RM2.



It's a great addition to my collection and will be used plenty. Flavor is great and it's easy to build. I tried to use EkoWool but can't seem to get the hang of it. I ended up using a micro coil at about 1.3 ohms with cotton. I think I need to rewick and use a bit more cotton as after about five seconds I start to get a dry hit. As I found with my kayfun the coil is easy, it's ALL about the wicking. I just need to fiddle some more and I'm sure I'll have it.



I have one question about it though. Is the RM2 supposed to sit flush on the Grand? I have this gap and I don't want to over tighten the RM2. It works fine but not quite the look I'm after.

I have the same mod and the same RM2.................and the same gap also. That's the way she looks.

Some people have taken an O-ring (forget what size, try the search option or wait for someone to post here) and placed it between the RM2 and the drip cup to close the gap.

Sounds like something you would appreciate.

Welcome to the Reo family! There are a lot of wicking options out there. I am running RxW 3mm on my RM2. I have an Igo-W4 dual coil .6 ohms on a Nemesis and using Ko Gen Do Japanese organic cotton. I've used, and still use ekowick on some things. As far as that gap is concerned, I have the same little gap in mine. Don't even notice it, I just vape it

One time i had a RM2 that was milled to use on my mini 14500 and when i put it on my grand it looked like that.

I have 2 RM2s that are not milled down and i don't know if they are made that way anymore or if they are now special orders?

Welcome to Reoville. That's pretty much the way the RM2 fits on the grand. An oring will take up the space. An LP Grand with an unmilled RM2 will sit flush and also be able to use pretty much any size RDA. If you can find one a BF Cyclone will sit flush on the Grand, but the Cyclone with AFC will only fit on an LP Grand.

Mine are standard Reo Grands from last year. There is a thread somewhere about the RM2 maybe Karen remembers where it is?

I remeber what it was about the RM2. Before last year you had to request a RM2 milled for the mini but then Robert started making them so they would fit both mini and Grand. It was then people started making threads about the gap. I am lucky and have 2 RM2s that do not have a gap. Here is one thread about it
