A way to not see the contest bubble every time I open site?

I'm glad that ECF has contest threads. Just wish they would be confined to the threads. Between the errors and intrusive bubbles it is becoming increasingly difficult to enjoy the community. Reminds me of a new neighbors whose dog barks incessantly.

Has anyone tried not going through the main site, just open a browser and select an old bookmark that goes right to a thread for example?

I've stayed logged in for a few weeks and no issues. Finally rebooted today, opened Chrome and selected a bookmarked thread here and it took me right in????

i do that often with Chrome when opening another tab.

Do you see the 'bubbles' and the like when you do this?

I'm not seeing anything intrusive like this. Just wondering if it's the entry point of the site that is triggering it for you folks?

Now another one - "GIVEAWAY" that doesn't go away, can't be moved so it blocks areas of text one can't read. This is BS and will drive people away.

How about getting an X out that works one time. If one clicks on it, it indicates it's been SEEN and then doesn't reappear EACH time you visit the forum.

Who is the idiot that thinks this is a 'good thing'??? Oliver? Some tech mod that can't figure out how to do the above??

As with the other bubble, I just had uBlock block the element, Bye Bye Ad, Never to be seen again

There is a ridiculously faint X in the tip of the upper right corner. @HauntedMyst has a trick if you have adblock.

I'm still on IE, but I see uBlock is available on Edge. Never went Chrome for all the initial problems with that.

I use FireFox, Haven't used IE for MANY years, so I'm of no help there.

Yeah i wasnt seeing these before yesterday. Now today, the big box one appears at the bottom left of the sceen. This makes the site completely unusable for me on a mobile device, no room to see anything. Can't it just go away after you click it once. I dont care about a giveaway, just want to share with the community.

Its usable on my home pc, but still annoying. What gives? I'll buy an Innokin device I don't even care for if it will make this STOP. We get it, Innokin is sponsoring a giveaway. Come to think of it, I will never buy an Innokin product now. Lol
