I read many posts where ppl complain about their cartos tasting burnt or flooding in a tank. Right now I'm using a Boge carto in a mini sub tank. Obviously this particular. carto isn't wicking well. It has 2 rather largeish holes and it will not pull the juice up by itself. But ive been using it successfully for 3 days. The mini sub tank has a hole in the side of it and a small screw in the hole. When I can feel the carto start to get "dry" I unscrew the screw. Air bubbles bubble up from the hole, indicating there is negative air pressure inside the tank for some reason. I then take a draw and screw. the screw back in. I'm good to go until theair pressure gets negative again. Dry sucks also help.
This is not the tank's fault. If you are getting dry hits, if your carto isn't wicking well, you have to let some air in! If your carto is flooding, you have too much air inside the tank, the air pressure will continually force the juice into the carto causing it to flood. It is a simple matter of unscrewing the screw and letting the excess air OUT.
I will not be using a tank without a fill hole in the side again. A side fill hole mot only makes it much easier to fill, it also allows you to control the balance of air pressure inside the tank.
If I were using a tank without a hole, I wouldn't be able to vape this setup
I hope this might help someone who is having these problems. I also have chibi tanks that I am in the process of modding by drilling a fill hole (just have to find the right screws)
I haven't much success with dual coil cartos in a tank so I am looking forward to trying one (again) this time being able to control the air pressure. So I don't know it any of this applies to dc cartos or not.
