This post is a little late in coming, but it's now definitely official, I've been vaping for a year and haven't had a cigarette in a year.
THANK YOU ECF!
Here's a bit of how my story progressed:
I discussed vaping with an online friend before I ever tried it, and he pointed me to this site. I bought a couple of disposables to try it out and started reading on here, religiously. I could tell from the disposables that this might actually work out for me so I ordered a bare bones ego starter kit, it came with a ce4. From the moment it arrived in my mailbox I was hooked.
Over the next few months I kept reading here, trying to also help out newer folks with what I had learned along the way. I bought more clearos(some T3's), and started recoiling the heads in those. Then I bought an RDA(phoenix v3), and then an aga-t2. Eventually I bought a vamo, and a phoenix V5. I stumbled upon micro coils, huge thank you to super_X_drifter and all of the folks in the micro coil threads.
I began using micro coils exclusively, still do, and got a couple mechs to play with. I now primarily use mechs and drippers, though I have a rocket(kayfun clone) that also sees fairly regular use. I like to stay around 1ohm resistance wise, and am extremely satisfied with my vape experience.
I haven't gotten into DIY juice yet, but I do dabble in mixing vg with pre-made juice to adjust nic levels and taste. My next steps will be seeing if I can cut down my nic levels, I feel it's time I step down from the 24mg.
I haven't been on here much lately, part of it is life getting busy, and part is not wanting to be tempted by the new and shiny things, but I still try to skim through posts when I can.
I guess I just wanted to say thanks for helping me change my life. Thank you to the members here, there are too many to name but super_x, baditude and ocelot deserve special thanks for all the info they provide. I've also had some great experience with vendors including mt baker, discount vapers, smoktek, HHV and fasttech.
