Hey all,

Ive been looking at the A7 kit from Captivape and I seem to really like their A7 oid that they sell in a kit. See below for the link...

https://captivape.com/index.php?products&a=view_product&product_id=86&category_id=9

Has anyone ever used this setup before? I'm trying to find out if the A7 oid is worth the added cost to the A7 rba, and how is the flavor, vape and throat hit as compared to other rba's in the same price range? Or what you may feel is a better route to go in this range.

any feedback would be greatly appreciated, as I haven't found much on Youtube about this particular setup.

Thanks

I don't have an A7-oid yet but I plan on buying one. I do have a GP Spheriod and love it! I works very VERY well for me, everything I hoped it would be. I'd like to have another but they're hard to get and expensive. I've got a bottom feeder I'm not using and would like to get an A-7 to use with it, hopefully it will fit. No, I don't need the "oid" part to bottom feed but why not get it for just a little more. On my GP Spheroid, the flavor, throat hit and vapor is good.. as with anything else, it'll depend on your juice and your wick/coil. Here is a video review on the spheroid, it's not an inexpensive A7 but the design is the same.

It would be interesting to hear from someone who has both to see if the A7-oid performs as well as the GP spheriod, which costs $100 more.

My understanding is the A7-oid is the driptip,machined to match the top of the A7. I have a couple A7s. I used them exclusively for bottomfeeding on my homemade VW bottomfeeder. The A7, alone, is all I ever bought. I have 510 driptips.

My only gripe with the A7 is the excess "headroom" of inside. The top part could be shorter. Overall, it functions very well, is easy to rebuild, is well machined and a decent design.

I have, since, transitioned to the ERA-clone (SS) and modded for bottomfeed.

To answer your question... the A7-oid is not neccesary. It does look good tho. Choice is yours!

ETA: Cliff's notes...

A7 = RBA w/ BF capability (<good)
A7-oid = Driptip (optional)
