Well I got this atty at vapercon 2012. Which was Awesome. Well I bought a few a7 rba and precoiled wicks. I just put a new wick and coil in and now the unit after a few hit gets really hot. It's a 1.8 ohm coil and I am running it at 3.4 volts. Just wondering why it's getting hot.

All my SS rba get very hot, that is normal.

I agree with BJ43. I imagine this type unit can get mightily "yet safely" hot, in heavy useage mode. I do not have the AC7 (yet:blush:), but my best vape periods seem to always be when I can sit in my Yellow Lab's fogoratorium, @ the desk chair cycling atomizers @ any whims desire. (hot warm cool cold its all there!)

I ordered 2 AC7's the other day. I shall be 2 cycling soon...

(I  would consider that a type of bi-cycling exercise O--O)) toward a wealth of health :glare:

Here is another option: A7 Rebuildable Atomizer

"5ECF" is the code I used for 5% off. That is a decent store price(+ free shipping if over a "foggy memory" amount). They write that it has "stainless steel Clarion drip tip" (if you dont want the plastic ones @ empiremods).

I thank tj98_7 though for that link to empiremods anyhow, because they have some stuff I require. Hmm they seem to have the The Vape Safe & myvaporstore had holocron labs shortstop, I shall soon be mechanical, with multiple choices of safety

I've been using the A7 exclusively on my homemade VW bottomfeeder box since I received it from empire. It does get hot around the lower section when I use it back-to-back for a while. I have a SS contoured DT on top, so my lips never get burned. Heat dissipates with it pretty well. For the cost and my application, it seems to be the best!

A7 to a Bulli A2. I first used my 28g oval coil with 8 threads of Lydia's thru and 5 inches of Lydia's wrapped around the posts. I then put the cap on and inserted a small piece of 14g ptfe tubing in the center as an air hole. I wrapped a cotton wick around this tubing filling the space above the coil and forming a juice tank. Reinventing the carto.:). Careful to lift the tubing a little so it doesn't rest on the coil. Haven't measured the capacity, but it gives me at least 2 hours of steady vaping.

Whoa...bonus day. Both an A7 and 28g A-1 were in my mailbox today.

First things first. I put together a BJ43 special oval coil with bamboo. I put in 10 threads but it looks like it could use some more. Not sure if I should wait for the swell or go for 12 threads?

28g is so robust! No coil movement here...wick change outs should be a breeze. This device is so accessible for tweaks.

Wait it takes a day for them to swell and if you want a few more put them on the sides and on top.
I wrapped 5 inches of thread around the posts io get the threads away from the sides and the bottom so the cap would screw all the way down

Spot on advice (again :toast:). I put the A7 away for a day, let the bamboo swell and voila! This little RBA is sweet. Its very airy, but the small vape chamber and airflow directly on the 28's works great. Yes, this thing get hot!

This has been my "go to" while in between constant config changes to my gennies. Hmm, come to think of it, my Vivis may be getting lonesome.

Almost ready for rewick, It should be a breeze.

Thanks to an idea by roadrash, ...
The end reel will melt your monitor in full screen HD ;)

It is a completely different animal now for mE.

It handles chain vapes yet is still "cool to the touch"!

The videos ceramic mini tank! has tasty warm vapor.

Hot vapor can be had if the cup is placed higher & inserted directly into a drilled metal drip tip.
(precise measurements are required to get them aligned just right & tight. Coils need to be low in the cup as well ;))

Colder vapor (& less E nectar) can be had with a lower placed ceramic cup.)
Cold vapor :glare: yuck! (no pix of that set up )

know you liked the vid :) the end scene is vapor hitting a glass plate to protect the camera. I had my face just behind ready 4 fog clouds that made it over lol

day after build update:

I do use a sealed 510 connector (as I always have with all my A7s).

It gurgles just after a fill & needs a blow down the drip tip to clear the drop or so down air tube into a rag. [Just like a nicely vaping Vivi Nova often does lol](Only! because I fill it way too high! A previous proto test seemed to not leak from the 510 area, if! fluids are kept below the cup.)

The only complaint so far: It is hard to fill:blink: this NOW tank below the cup (this is partly due to m

related to reasons I do not drink ) The fill gap is tight between the cup so a syringe & good lighting would be needed to keep levels always below the cup, as no viewing window is available on this stainless CE2 vapor tank.

I love this beyond dripper! A(7)CE(2) set up. Ceramic keeps the vapor just right 4 m

& the steel from getting hot. I like it so much! I ordered some non mystery metal tubing that may fit the same as the CE2 + pin/tube.
