Generally when posting in the new members section, I'll use the word and then the abbreviation, when talking about atomizers, atty's, or re-buildable atomizers, rba's, I will mention it like that, but when using the same term again in the same post I will then use rba, and not spell it out, because I am lazy but not inconsiderate. If I had to resort to spelling out what an rda, rebuildable dripping atomizer, every time, doubt that I would bother to reply or try to help as much as I do.

But I do understand your frustration, every single one of us has felt the same way, and if you searched the entire new members forum, you probably wouldn't have to go more than 2 pages and find the same post about abbreviations and vape slang. Also if you'd of bothered to search, you just might of found the glossary that was posted previously in this very thread.

IDK, but would be willing to bet, that within 3 months, if you stick around the ECF, that you'll be one of the members that will use rba, atty's, carto, clearo, ADV, APV, more often the writing out All Day Vape, advanced person vaporizer, ..... It's just rba is so much quicker and just as informative once you know what it means.

Welcome to the Electronic Cigarette Forum, ECF, congrats, congratulations, on your vape, um vaporizer juice and atty, atomizer.

Vape long and Prosper!!

thanks for the welcoming

i could not know really if you agree with me in some sticky about abbreviations........ i wish you do.
....
generally i can and probably every body can google any abbreviation and will be found. however, in a forum like ECF, it is expected to find such a sticky.

I never seen this as a big deal. It's just a matter of hangin around the forum enough and eventually picking up on things. I kinda see us here as being our own little society and therefore having a language of our own which includes it's own slang abbreviations humor and so forth. For me it's part of the fun things in the forum. I mean so much of this vaping stuff is already a mystery to me and many others. So why wouldn't the lingo and abbreviations be a bit of a mystery too. I call it consistency.

I'm vaping HA from HHV in a KFC on a SVD . Translates as I'm vaping Heavenly Army from Heather's Heavenly Vapes in a Kayfun clone on a Innokin SVD , abbreviations save time and typing , it doesn't take long to learn the vapespeak it's part of learning .

I'm glad you cleared that up at the end because I was thinking you were vaping while enjoying some finger lickin good chicken at KFC

A sticky that could be updated on the new members page would be a good idea, but after a short time it becomes second nature to think in terms like rba, rda, atty, and actually becomes hard to remember to type in the full word, and often find my self having to backspace to write out re-buildable atomizer instead, causing me often to forget the point I was on, and cancel the whole post and check out the next tread.

When we say KFC we ain't talking fried yardbird LOL !

Well often see K.lite, K.L.+ but never seen the KFC in any format except chicken, and I like the original version please. and just so you know, kayfun is not two words it's one, so a kayfun clone would be more accurate as KC not kfc, that be chicken. lol. I usually say Kayfun style rba's, when referring to there clones or the Russian. on rba's I'll usually say the name like Aqua not Aq., the Russian, seen R91, which through me for awhile, and wanted to know more about it, but once I saw it was lazy speak for the Russian 91%, I got over it. But do often shorten the flash-e-Vapor V2 to Flashi, since that is what Artur calls it in his emails to me, so figure if the Creator calls it the Flashi, it's good enough for me. lamo.

Damn, have a craving for chicken for some unknown reason. hmm.

Most of the abbreviations will be highlighted, such as RBA and RDA, PV PG and even VG. If you run the cursor over them it will give you a definition right there.
If you are using an iPad this doesn't work. At least for me it doesn't. This would also take the fun out of learning. Sort of like a new language. Welcome back and VAPE ON, MY FRIEND!

i have a slight different take on this. usage of abb should encourage new members to ask the question. knowing what RDA stands for isn't really helpful until someone explain what it is. so, my suggestion is to ask if you don't know what it is. ECF is one of those rare forum where people march in groups to help others out. if someone post "what is RDA?" in new members forum, i would bet it will be answered within a few minutes along with a full page detail description.
does it get old seeing similar question over and over again? of course. but that is why we have new member sub. you can ask pretty much anything here.

so, don't be afraid. ask way! :toast:

I recommend a M16 clone with an IGO-W on top. With enough digging you can get this setup for less than 50$. The M16 mod is telescopic, so you can use any size batteries you want (preferably IMR's). On the IGO-W, you can use anywhere from one to four coils. I'll attach a pic of this setup. uploadfromtaptalk1391022096318.jpg

I think it's a very good point.

Try to at least post the full term once and then use abbreviations. It is very confusing for many. Links are always helpful. Many people here aren't from the US and the terms and abbreviations can be confusing. Even if you are, it's tough.

Also when your discussing suppliers post the full name or link as well.
