This is an awesome idea that I don't believe I've seen implemented into an online forum (of any sort) yet.
For information purposes, this feature does not work on Safari on the iPhone, as I expected. However, most abbreviations show up as hyperlinks that search the term, bringing me quickly to the answer I seek.

In german boards PV is the abbreviation for the ProVari, at first i was like "wow almost everyone has a provari here" and then i got it

I thought exactly the same when I first started 2 years ago!! Doh!! Now I'am just wondering what the A stands for in APV ( I understand Personal Vapouriser!!).
