I started vaping over 2 years ago. I noticed about a year later that my ability to smell had pretty much disappeared. I've been wondering the past few months if it has anything to do with vaping. Just wanting to hear peoples thoughts. And if this had happened to anyone else. Thanks
What a out your taste? Smelling and tasting are kind of linked. Can you still taste things well?

Hi and Welcome,
What did your doctor say was responsible for your loss of smell?

Have you lost taste as well?

How long did you smoke and how many per day?
What level of nicotine are you using?
What is the brand/flavour you most use(d)? What is the PG/VG content?
What equipment are you using to "vape"?
How many ml of liquid do you consume on an average day?

Cheers
I

I have always had sinus and allergy problems....so yeah I don't usually have much of a sense of smell, nothing to do with vaping though
I mean it could possibly be due to pg or vg, maybe it's upsetting your sinus' but doubt it....
if your sinus' are messed up your smell will be messed up, which usually then your taste is off a bit as well

need to talk to your doctor because there are health concerns that can cause this...my grandmother had no sense of smell at all, I forget what caused it though but it happened when she was a kid.

I've been vaping for 7 years. ALways had a very good sense of smell - even all the time that I smoked. Now I don't have a great sense of smell so I hear you. In my case, the doctor said I developed mild allergies. I would recommend staying super hydrated.

I always try natural stuff first and I was told by a friend to try ginger tea twice a day. I did it for about a month and I think it helped a little. Might just be coincidental since the hot tea probably clears out sinuses. Ymmv.

On the plus side though, ginger tea.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Might like to read:
"Section 3: Beneficial effects of vaping vs smoking
Sinuses clearing up. A wonderful thing when it starts happening. Your sense of smell starts to come back, stuffiness goes away, etc. You start noticing the smell of other people's smoke, or more subtle smells you've forgotten about as a smoker. The downside is you also start to smell the nastier smells too."
re: A list of symptoms when quitting tobacco and changing to an ecigarette
We are all different, since your condition appears not to be improving for over a year, I would seek medical advice.
