About high VG juice in a RTA

I've been vaping for almost a year and have always 50%PG 5O%VG juices. I bought some 90 VG juice and in my Goblin and my Fogger v6 I am getting dry hits and burnt cotton unless I drop wattage way down. Am I correct to assume that high VG juices are not appropriate to run in rta's or is there something I'm missing? I'm running 24 gauge kanthal, dual coil, 8 wraps at about 10 to 35 watts.

May just be getting the wicking correct. I occasionally run 80%VG in my KF 4 with no issue. Compressing cotton restricts juice flow. Took me a few builds to figure that one out. I also have a Taifun GT2 I like really well. The Goblin 2 should be made for thicker juices.

I know, right? Under the fogger was questionable but I didn't think the Goblin would have a problem with it.

I haven't run anything higher than 80vg (I don't think I have although a couple of the Charlie Nobel's liquids might be) without issues. But, I've read adding a drop of distilled water can help.

The water sounds like a good idea. I bought the juice from a local B&M which is really "dripper-centric".

As long as my coil is big enough (I.D.) and wicking is done right, I can use 90 vg and higher in my subtank mini v2.

I dremeled out the juice channels in my Goblins to allow more juice flow for max vg juice.

I also "brush" the ends of my wicks with a syringe to thin the cotton out where it sits in the juice wells.
