Vaping 14 months and not one cold. Usually had 2 a year when smoking.

I vape 50/50.
Explains why some vapers I know of that vape max VG still get colds?

First, thanks for the link VictorC!

2 1/2 years cold/virus free until this past December and I'm at 60vg\40pg.
I think my luck ran out because a virus can enter via your eyes. Must
have been some careless sneezing peasant I crossed paths with in a store.

Ditto, except I'm at 27 months and vape 35/65. I haven't had a single cold either, even when exposed to family members and coworkers who have had 'em.

If this isn't common knowledge in the vaping world by now, it should be.
There is more than enough anecdotal evidence.

The only real question seems to be is it vaping?
Or is it quitting smoking?

It's probably a combination of both.

I have no doubt anyone doing a study would find that vaping helps.
But someone has to do the study, and I doubt Big Pharma will be the ones to do it.

Yep wife unit just got over a cold and literally everyone at work has had one and I deal with the public all day too.
But no colds vaping 50/50.

Easy to believe.

Been using 80% plus PG for years and have had a couple bouts in that time but all it ever amounts to is a low level headache for a day or two, or if it hits me hard I get a minor cough for a few days.
Absolutely nothing like the ebbing and flowing waves of a cold that could go on for months when I smoked. Coughing and coughing so much I would just want to die.
Then I'd light up another and repeat. Fun days they were.

This is interesting. I never really thought about it, but the last time I got sick was the winter just before I started vaping. I don't think I've come down with anything since. That's odd actually, because I attend an international event every year with 100,000+ people in attendance and I usually get sick every year after that show. Nothing since starting vaping.

After I got over the usual "quitter's flu" shortly after I started vaping, I haven't had a single instance of respiratory distress since late February of 2011.

I have to ascribe it to vaping.

From all the other threads on this same topic, I know I'm not alone.

"Propylene glycol, the primary ingredient in the electronic cigarette cartridge, may be a powerful deterrent against pneumonia, influenza, and other respiratory diseases when vaporized and inhaled according to a study by Dr. Oswald Hope Robertson."

Propylene glycol in e cigarettes might keep us healthy, says researchers
It doesn't sound very hard to simply follow a few thousand vapers and see what colds or flu they get then see if they are any different from the general population.

I have a hunch that vaping college students have a statistically significant improvement in academic performance compared to the total student population. It would not be so difficult to figure that out. This wouldn't be the first time one of our recreational activities turned out to be medicinal or performance enhancing. The headlne might be "Students who vape get better grades". That would be fun.
