Team, i'm ready to pull the trigger on a slim.
Now i already have an afs V2 but it will look stupid on a slim, i know a Slim Specific AFS is going to be out in the next weeks. Now, what should i order "else" to be able to vape with the slim while waiting for the AFS.
Atties
Cartographer ?

Just give me advice, my wallet is ready (i got batteries/chargers already).

I started with a 510 and i'm not too keen on filling the cartrdige myself with the plastic white .... , cartographers are good ? another alternative (beside AFS i'll eventually get)

Btw, i asked already in another thread but will the slim-Afs be two tone or something? A gold slim with a silver afs would look dull

Hi Blobe, I'm assuming you're referring to cartomizers? If so, you don't need anything extra with the GG Slim to use carto's, they come with the right threads for any Kr808 cartomizer.

All you need for the Slim is the 10440 batteries, a charger and, if you still want to use your 510 atties and carts, you can purchase a 510 adapter.

Hope it helps! :)

Ty for the both answers, well, let say, i don't want to go back to the old 510 style plastic carts that you fill once in a while and they start to get brown and stuff when it's too late. Can't remember the word for this white foam .... but.. i can't.

So, while waiting for the slim afs i was wondering if there was a good alternative to this (beside dripping), is that more clear ? :p

you will need batteries, charger, 901 atomizers , maybe cartomizers and liquid, thats it buddy. Exept you want to vape different atomizers so you need adapters too.:)

For the Slim I would suggest the LR atty and a drip tip. What a nice set up that is and it hits like a nice HV device does. The drip tips you see everywhere now are great and make the act of dripping a bit more tolerable.

Must agree just received drip tip from Lisa fri and as Vapn says with L/R 510 really hits the spot

Doesnt that LR run that little 10440 dead in no time at all vapn, I use them on my Ego and on my gg's with AFS and the 18650 high drains and they are just the bomb on this set up, however im thinking that a 10440 would only operate for 5 minutes and run dead all the time. Id anyone hasn't tried the new V2 with the 901LR's yet you must try this for it creates clouds of vapor I have been using this set up for almost a month now and have to say its the best vape I have ever found yet out of all my mods and set ups, Rob has the orange AW 18650 IMR BAtts or any high drain for that matter combined with my GGT & GGTS with some 901 LR's and amn this is heaven for sure, I dont even see a reason for HV with this set up, plus the taste of the juice is soooooo gooooodddddd,
Imeo I hope your brain storming something new up for all of us !!!!!!

They do go quite quickly, but I have several ready to swap out :D
(Edit>> I remembered that only protected 10440 batteries should be used with the LV atomisers, I should get some more).

I would say the LV's are a huge difference from a regular 901 atomiser, I only have the one so I'd better get a few more of these too. I haven't tried my LV 501 atomiser yet.

The AFS V2? I see a hole on the LV atomiser but wasn't sure if it was modified for the AFS. That would certainly be the ultimate setup for the Slim.

I am actually quite surprised at how long the battery does last with the LR atty on the Slim. I got a few of those 10430s from Rob and they are pretty darn good little batteries for the original Slim. But yes I would agree with you D133 that we should really be using the protected battery with the LR atty for one very important reason. You do NOT notice a drop in vapor all the way down to a possible overdischarge situation. I hit the cut off on my AW 14500 a few times this past week on my Grant with the LR atty and it was still hitting like it was when the battery was fully charged. I am happy that I can get that kind of vaper from 3.7v.

I have to admit I had been happily vaping away on unprotected 10440's (as they fit in all my Slims) then read Lisa's webpage where it recommends protected batteries only, so I switched. I wasn't worried if the occasional battery died, I was just worried about it overheating etc. from a safety point of view. If there was no danger of injury (I don't know) then I would interchange them.

Yes, it is safety that one should worry about with the LR atty and an unprotected battery. The vapor drop on a standard atty is around 3.7v for me and on the LR it seems to be around 2.5v and that is pushing the limits of the battery. So not only would I be damaging my battery but risking the possibility of a vent and or explosion. Just for kicks I put in a CR2 3v battery and vaped on a LR atty and it was a pretty good vape hehehe...
