Wow I haven't been here in a while. Finally decided to hop onto the rba/rda/RTA train after I got the opportunity to hit one at a local e-cig shop.

I'm probably going to go for an RTA at first, Maybe the kayfun or lemo. I think I'll probably be happy with the clouds they produce. I've viewed nearly every RipTrippers video and I think I'm ready, but I wanted some advice. What coil should I attempt for a single coil RTA? I'm looking for decent flavor, a warm/cool vape, and a good sized cloud.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

start in the 1.4 to 1.7 area....I like 28 ga Nichrome myself....It vapes cooler and is easier to work with....Not Dis-ing kanthal I just prefer nichrome.

work your way down on resistance till you find the vape you like on the tank.

Keep your wire about 2mm off the deck....the insulators you save will be your own.

Both atomizers work well but wick differently.....Dont be afraid to re-wick.Dry burns are lack of wicking, flooding can be too much wicj OR air leaks.

I will depend one which tank you go with, and what your APV (if that is what you are using) will fire. The same coil on different RTA's will yield different results. Kayfuns have smallish juice channels and tight airflow, so to build low resistance coils in those is sort of pointless, they can't wick fast enough. A Lemo on the other hand has larger channels air MUCH more airflow, while the airflow wide open will not do much in helping with wicking the channels will. Kayfuns do best around 1.2 to 1.8 and keep the watts below 18 (and that is pushing it). If you want to build 1.0 coils, definitely go with the Lemo.
