Congrats NGM!

Just an FYI, I think you will be getting just one magnet (at least I did) so you may want to add another one when you place your second order, oh I'd say next month. And when installing magnets don't forget about polarity, you'll have to make sure which side is up. I've never lost a magnet yet but just food for thought.

You are in for a treat! :toast:

Add a few 2 or 4 RM2 screws and maybe get an extra spring (or 2?) instead of the rebuild kit. I

I know the order is already placed but I wanted to explain why I recommend a rebuild kit. There are really 2 reasons.

First, I have hard shorted an atty on one of my Grands (Don't ask, it was my fault and involved a migraine, a lack of sleep & coffee, and trying to rebuild ) When it happened, the spring collapsed and it fried the contact strip, the end was literally stuck to the battery. The good news is the safety features worked beautifully, the battery, of course, was discarded but there was no thermal run away and other than the spring, contact and battery there was no damage. With the rebuild kit, you have everything you need in a case like that.

The other reason is every now and then someone will put an older Grand in the classies for great price. If you come across one, all you need is the kit and it's good as new.

I have been vaping for well over 2 and half years and have been thinking about buying a Reo. I started vaping with simple stuff and then moved on to Genesis style atomizers. About 4 months ago, I started playing with Kayfuns and have really enjoyed that a lot. I been using cotton and 26 gauge wire and generally vape around 0.8 ohms. I also started vaping on some drippers with coils around 0.3 to 0.5 ohms with cotton.

I like the vape that the drippers give me and so I'm a little confused as to what atomizer to order. I have seen numerous posts about people praising the RM 2.0. But, this seems like it would be comparable, air draw wise, to something like a Kayfun? I had my eye on the RM 4.0, but then I read a few posts about people breaking off one of the negative posts. I think that would drive me crazy if that happened to me. To give you an idea of what my experiences have been with drippers; I currently have been using a Zenith and Stilair drippers and have had my eye on the new Magma.
Please advise which RM you think I should buy. Heck, I may even buy 2. :evil:I plan to buy a LP Grand and I have my eye (and in fact loaded in my cart right now) on a copper vein one. I think I will add a copper button and a rebuild kit just in case. I think I may order some extra o rings also. I will probably order some bottles and I think the 6 ml bottles are the one for the Grand, correct? Which spare tubes should I order? And please let me know if I should add anything else to my order.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. :thumb:

Hey Nat, congrats on your new purchase. I am confident you will really enjoy the LP Grand when it gets to you. Sorry i'm a little late to the party here, but I didn't see anyone suggest to you to get a BF pin and post for your Zenith. They are available out there. The Stillare and the Magma atty's can be modded for BF as well. There are a few threads here in the REO forum that has pics of them. Let the stalking commence....

Thanks mate!

Perfect example of how something "simple" can take your Reo out of the game. Hope it wasn't a newer battery that hit the bin.

Me, I tend to fry springs. (well first two last night- careless battery change - the nipple touched the bottom of the raised door and a metal drip tip with no waist slid in too deep and shorted my +/- posts).:facepalm::facepalm:
So I can get 5 springs for the price of the rebuild kit. :D
I hope to never pop a spring again, (NOR EVER weld parts of my REO.. that's a bit scary dude.)
But having a supply of springs AND at least one complete rebuild kit covers ALL the bases, just in case. :?:

Cheers
I

It shipped already!!!! Wow, very fast. Thanks Rob!!!!!!!!!!

I did order the rebuild kit and 1 extra spring as I did not see Izan's post until after I ordered. If it like you all say, I will be placing another order very soon anyway. LOL

Muzichead, can you explain the BF pin a little more to me. I would love to convert my Zenith.

You have to keep an eye out for them, but here are a few links where you can get them... I thought I read somewhere that Kidney Puncher sold them as well, but I can't seem to find it on their site....

Congrats NatGasMan, great little shopping list you posted up! Perfect in fact.

Just for info, Rob is working on a bottom fed Stillare, but hasn't released it yet. Should be available soon. There's also quite a few threads around here giving DIY info on modding atties for bf, if you are into that kind of thing.

Thanks Ian! My wife would have a heart attack if I told her that I now need a drill press to go with my Reo. LOL
