Sounds to me like you have burned them. I had the same problem last week. Burned one Nova head, 2 cartos and an atomiser before I realised it was a voltage problem with the battery. I thought i had gotten a bad pack of cartos so i went to the nova and once it was down I put an atty on and it went south as well. Thats when I changed pv's and all was fine. Hope this is not the case for you but sure sounds like it may be.

Dean, some people have had problems initially with the Stardust. They've recommended leaving it with juice in for days.
You're using 1.8 ohm and you went to 4 volts. There's a chart here showing optimal vaping by what ohms and voltage you use. You can click the chart to make it bigger.
Some of these things aren't always vapeable straight out of the box.
I suggest regular SR cartomizers at 3.7 volts so you can actually vape. In the meantime have juice soaking your stardust.

Quite possibly because it's giving dry hits and needs to be soaked a lot longer. For 2.4 ohm try vaping at 3.5 v. After it's had a long soak.

no luck in trying 2.4ohm, i get the exact same taste same strength, this was also with cleaning all the part singlaly with nice warm water and letting it dry

i don't know anything about the electrics but i had a bad taste and almost no vapor from my mini Nova. i got disgusted and set it aside for 2 or 3 days. i tried it again and was amazed at how much better it was. its now my favorite.

Leave it filled for a day or two it just might help.

yeh thats what im doing, im leaving them with eliquid in over night see if it gets better, my only worry is all 3 different ways im doing it taste exactly the same which is odd when i say 3 ways i mean

atty - dripping
mininova
stardust

edit - may i add, may help some ppl to troubleshoot for me, all 3 of the above all stink of what im tasting, like its been contaminated or something which is weird since the nova come in its own box seperate from the others in the packaging.

I'm a fan of stardusts and Nova, because I have never had the problems you describe.
If the juice tastes horrible in every device you've tried, I would blame the juice. Bad taste tends to transfer from one device to the next.

I have 2 2.5 vivi novas and 2 minis and the heads need a break in time but not like this... It's either the Twist firing too high and burning the coil/plastic/insulation... Is your juice coming out hot? And sizzling like at high volts even when it's at 3.2?

problem is with me i have nothing to compare to but a stardust which is exactly the same taste, doesnt matter what juice.
Can someone clarify "breaking in" as in how to do it and how long it takes?

"breaking in" is when the ohms on the heads adjusts and the wicks sort of suck--your flavor may be off a bit. It's not breaking in... Your twist is either vaporizing stuff or the heads are burning. It's is not a breaking in effect. Ready to throw up and choking on gasses and your whole place smelling=something is burning. Take apart the heads and look at the insulation/rubber rings/etc.

1) Twist is faulty

2) Head/gear is burning

3) Probably 1 if it's same on atty

It really sounds like the battery is a problem. They really are excellent batteries but just like anything there is going to be a bad batch here and there. I would definitely contact the vendor, tell him you've been to ECF and discussed it in detail, and you want to have a replacement batt & clearos -from a different batch if he/she has some earlier/later arrivals) and return the bad setup. Please don't be discouraged. (yeah, right - I would be, I know I would be). I was going to suggest its the liquids - or more specifically the plastic bottles that they are in that is degraded, but that seems out because you're getting decent taste with your existing setup. Hang in there.

Just a random question here, but from what OP keeps stating , I gotta ask.
Are you certain that the flavors you are vaping are premixed solutions with PG and or VG in them?
From experience (it was a bad day and I learned to read the label before dripping that day) I can state that vaping DIY flavoring is both distasteful and doesn't smell nice. You'll get crap vapor and it'll burn the hell outta the back of your throat.

uh oh, i think i made a whoopsy, i took it round a friends house who vapes, he said its just the liquid flavour, but i said it tastes good in the greensmoke, which he proceeded to say the twist is ALOT more powerful than that little greensmoke thing, so u will get the full flavour.

So my next confusement was as to why gold and silver, usa mix and RY4 ALL tasted like this. I opened the lids on each and they ALL smelt the same as what i been tasting all day, 3 different liquids 3 same flavours, they are all tobacco based, im huessing i dont like the tobacco base flavouring this company uses, now my next problem is i have some sweet flavours i can get thru the night on BUT how can i make a quick transfer of USA mix out of one clearomiser replacing with sweet flavout without too much cross contamination, a 24 hr method not gonna work here, im dying for some smoke and dont want to be going down the garage for analogs

All 3 taste like plastic? Try changing the tips, to ceramic, glass or metal types. If you've not been using them previously, You might not be used to the plastic tips.

im new to vaping so unfrotunately only have a plastic tip.
As for vodka as well as cigarettes i also dont drink, so have no alcohol at all in the house

One review i read of the Hangsen USA MIX said it was nice with a little metallic taste, i wonder if thats what im getting, if so its awful, either that or the liquids r off, my first day with an ego so i cant compare apart from my greensmokes which taste GREAT!!!!

You said the juice is awful on the ego and in the tanks but fine in the greensmokes so put it in the greensmokes and vape that while you clean the clearo's out and dry them. Get the juice back into the bottles if you can, dump the rest down the sink, use hot water to flush them out. If you still smell the juice and have any vinegar you can pour a little vinegar into some hot water, dump some in each tank, immerse the wicks in it and then rinse everything clean and let it dry. Then load anything else you might have in the form of liquid in them to vape.

I understand you're frustrated but if the crappy juice tastes fine in your greensmoke use it in there to keep from lighting up.
