I got my Dad to give vaping a go and got him set up with a Vision Spiner and Mini Pro 3 tank. He has not quit smoking yet but has been trying. The problem is that he runs a constrution company and is outside in the heat alot. The tank keeps leaking on him or the juice keeps comming up to his mouth. Anything I can suggest to him to hekp? How do you guys vape outside?

He has tried all that and I end up having the same problem also with heat here. NC in the summer! I'm not out as much as he is though and I have already committed to vaping. I have tried changing the coil also. It gets alot of condensation inside the mouth peice and then the juice comes up. I have also had juice leak so bad it comes through the air holes. BTW he uses Mount Baker 555 50/50 if that can make a diffrence.

I've got protank 2's and a couple other tanks with various batteries. Haven't had any leak. He needs to make sure all the parts are plenty snug but not over tight - that will damage the O-rings and seals. Couple weeks ago I left one sitting in the hot car for awhile and some juice got up the center. It was a fairly full tank and had been laying partly on the side. Have him keep it upright, don't fill above half way and don't leave it in direct sunlight or next to a heat source. When the juice gets hot, it'll expand and force itself into the center if the tank is full - a partly empty tank leaves room for the expansion.

I second the cartomizer option. He can fill and cap several and keep them in the glove compartment until needed. If they leak (and, they probably won't), he can unscrew it and blow through it to clear the center air tube, clean the 510 connection, and be back in business. Cartos aren't subject to vacuum problems and he can fill them this way. You might also up the VG content to thicken the liquid. Cartos work well with high VG juice mixes and he will get more vapor with more VG.

Juice thins when it's hot. Whether clearomizer or carto-tank, that leads to juice in the mouth.

You could try: using thicker juice, using only one tiny pre-punched hole if a carto-tank, using an extra flavor wick if a clearo, or just go straight to plain cartos or dripping atties.

Good luck!

Hmm, don't have any of those problems. Better gear is the best way. Cheap premade stuff is always going to be, well, cheap made stuff. Only went through the kranger woes for a month or 2. Then went rba all the way.

Oh, Aspire went Verical coil, seems they read the forums too. Damn, yeah, can't think of anything, outside of proper care and maintenance on your current gear. Did see the new line of aero SS stuff, that takes kanger coils and what not, quality was looking pretty fair. Find that the best vape value is always the quality stuff.

switch to a top coil and wick type tank and only fill 3/4 of the way. problem solved. from what i have read here all types of bottom coil tanks have more than their fare share of problems. they are great for a more advanced user but for beginners they can be frustrating. after getting into the hang of maintenance and replacing coil assemblies then move on to the bottom fed. he could also do both. top fed for work, bottom fed for at home while he gets the hang of it.
