About to make my first DIY attempt, just want to make sure I got the gist of this....

I've read some of the stickies in this forum but still want to make sure a few things before I attempt my first DIY.

So I got my materials from Wizard Labs:

PG
VG
60 mg nicotine solution
menthol crystals
a few small bottles of fruit flavors (liquid form)

My goal: To make 10 ml of menthol flavored juice and 10 ml of a strawberry flavored juice, AND have it taste nice. Especially the menthol, I want it to give a cool kick to the throat.

I'm pretty good at math so I have no problem calculating the correct nicotine amount to use for my target nicotine concentration. I just have a few questions on the procedure:

1. The first thing to mix is the PG and VG right? If I want 80 PG 20 VG, then take 8 part PG for every 2 part VG and pour them together in a mixing container? (for simplicity, we'll ignore the PG and VG in the nicotine solution and flavor solution that I'll add later)

2. Which should I add next? the nicotine? the menthol crystals? or the flavor liquid? I'd appreciate it if you can guys can recommend me the ideal sequence. If sequence doesn't matter, tell me that as well.

3. I have no idea how much flavor and menthol to add. How much should I start at? I do like my juice to be flavorful. Say, if I'm trying to make a 10ml batch, how much ml of flavor liquid should I add (ball park, I can always tweak it later).

4. The menthol I got is in crystal form. If I understand it correctly, I'm supposed to grounded it into powder and just mix it in the juice. How much gram of menthol should I start with for my first 10 ml batch? (ball park, I can always tweak it later)

5. After everything is mixed, I'm supposed to shake and stir, and let it steep. That's it right?

I understand it's a lot of questions. I'd highly appreciate pointers or comments. Thanks

What % is the nic base? Id start with that and add which ever to get to the final 80/20 you want,plus id mix up a solution of the menthol crystals with vodka,thats what I use, Ive heard you can use pg, I mix crystals 5/1 , using a syringe, I scoop them to full 5ml, 5times, then add 5 ml vodka, shake till disolved, hot water helps, I use this menthol solution at 20% of my nic mix, crushing/not crushing comes out about the same in syringe

So you add 5 ml of vodka to 25 ml of menthol crystal. and use 20% of the resulting solution for your final e-juice.

Can I just the menthol directly to my e-juice without using vodka in between? Thanks

So you if make 10 ml of juice, you would use 2 ml of your menthol solution, which contains about roughly 1.6 ml of pure menthol crystal and 0.4 ml of vodka. In another word, pure menthol crystal would be 16% of your final e-liquid by volume.

So I should take 1.6 ml (cubic cm) of pure menthol crystal (in powder form) and mix it with 8 ml of juice to get roughly what you have.

I don't know, I'm a newbie, but that sound like quite a bit of menthol...

It is a strong blend indeed, maybee start a little lower, but that is how I do it every day,vape,not mix ,I mix in larger batches maybe every 4 months, 5parts crystals, 1 parts vodka. But once you have a solution you just lower that and use drops per or ml whatever to get there so its consistant
