Hello, I am obviously new here and I would like to start by saying I am going to purchase my first e-cigarette today. I have my eye on blu cigs, I am going to purchase two starter kits for both my wife and I. I have done extensive research and googling about e-cigarettes and have come to the conclusion they are not a scam, they work, and that the best bang for the buck to get started would be the blu cigs. Please correct me if I am wrong, as soon as I get a check today I am going straight to the bank, depositing it, then going home and ordering my starter kits. I am completely ecstatic and definitely can not wait to get them in the mail. Nobody around where I live has e-cigarettes, and I have never talked to or met anyone who has ever vaped before, so it is absolutely groundbreaking for me. I have been looking at them for over a year now, and I finally feel like I am ready to take the plunge and never look back. Any input would be greatly appreciated for me as a newbie, I don't want to make a mistake and start out with bad/wrong e-cigs. I know everyone has their taste/preference, however at this time I am very limited on my budget, and have to get an e-cig for both my wife and I as we spend most of each day separated from each other, so I definitely need to purchase two, and have enough cartridges/atomizers/batteries to last me about a month to get started. Thanks in advance.

Take a look at strictlyejuice.com. I talked back and forth with Jane last night via email about there starter kits and they sound like good quality kits to me. The kits are very affordable and will be adding more stuff to there site this week...Jane said 500 more items. There is some bang for your buck right there. Just thought I would share with you.

Welcome Theaxiom,

I am also relatively new here. I purchased the KR808D-1 with some blank cartomizers and some e-juice. I am extremely happy with my purchase and the results. I was a 25 year 3-4.5 pack a day smoker. I received my nebula (KR808D-1) 16 days ago. My cigarette consumption decreased daily after I started vaping. When I got down “naturally” to 1-3 cigarettes a day for a few days, I decided the next step was to quit completely. I have not had a cigarette for 6 days and I am ecstatic. Was it easy? The reduction to a couple of cigarettes per day was “natural”—no effort at all. Over the last 5 days, since I quit completely, I have had a few minor to moderate cravings for a cigarette, but nothing too bad. I have never quit for more than about 26 hours (using the patch) so this is miraculous to me.

About the Blu: some people seem to like it, some people do not. I have no experience with this model so I cannot comment. I am sure other people will.

I purchased my KR808D-1 (nebula) at vapor9; however, I have bought other supplies from vapor4life and this vendor seems to be one of everybody’s favorites. I prefer Myfreedomsmokes for the e-juice; however, this is a personal preference.

Going into this with a positive attitude, in my opinion, is very important. Furthermore, I have never been a part of any type of forum in my life except this forum. I find it not only informative and friendly, but also inspiring which is helping me quit.

Good luck and welcome!

I agree about the Blu. A supplier here bought one to see what the buzz was all about and gave it to me to try out. This isn't a quality unit. Terrible cut off, inconsistent vapor and tiny useless carts. The PCC was nice, but the company later had fire issues with them. I gave it back to him.

That said... if you want something similar, a JOYE 510 should be perfect for you. You'll be able to control the amount of draw you want with the little button (what ever you get, get a manual battery!!) and you can get a longer life battery (called a Mega Power) which will run 4-6 hours for these as well.

Do consider buying a PCC and/or Passthrough right away.

Also purchase liquid right away in a good amount, as you will need it on day one! I recommend a menthol, Ry4 (nice caramel flavor!), a good tobacco such as Cuban Cigar and getting a fruit flavor (such as Cherry) to start out with. Most start out with 24mg and go up or down from there (you can add unflavored high nicotine if you need more and cut the liquid with Vegetable Glycerin (VG which is available at the drug store) or Propylene Glycol (PG which can be ordered in at CVS Pharmacy or purchased at Electronic-Ash.com with some of the above flavored e-liquids).

Don't forget to use the coupon code discounts for where ever you buy from (most have one). A list can be found here:

Nope, but cignot.com is the best and you will probably have your "No Box" kit in 2 days max. Get the MANUAL, not the AUTOMATIC.

You might want to get some eJuice/eLiquid somewhere else for the 510 because the VG mixes are a bit thick, and don't soak up real quick.

I'd go with maybe Johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com for your 1st liquid. (I just bought a bunch even though I am making my own juice.) I keep going back there, and back again. Maybe get some high nicotine stuff (1oz of 24mg) and a bottle of 0nic stuff (also 1oz) and you can mix to your nic taste, and won't have to burn your tongue with nicotine.

Some people hate johnsoncreek, but I keep going back...
While vaping away at that 2oz of liquid, start researching and stocking up on supplies to make your own eJuice.

Just an idea, props for desiring change. You might have more after starting, if you drop the over taxed tobacco too.

TastyVapor.us is awesome (and has a buy 2 get one free sale on nicotine, but not the Doublers). Read about the zero nic doublers and mixing the high nic. liquid. Lot of juice for little money. Really recommended!!

I have his menthol, chocolate/caramel/pecan, chocolate/coconut/caramel, chocolate/banana/walnut. All yummy (Atomic Fireball gets great reviews, as does his new tobacco).

For excellent juice, FAST shipping & reasonable prices, I highly recommend Randall @ myPVshop.com

Liquids are on sale right now. Plus... You can save an additional 10% on your entire order (including sale items) using Discount Coupon Code: IVape10

He also carries the Genuine Joye 510 and all the accessories ... Passthrough, PCC (Personal Charging Case) which I HIGHLY recommend for the 510.

Don't forget ... Discount Coupon Code: IVape10 saves another 10% on your entire order.

When it comes to buying your first juices, this is always my recommendation...

1) Get a few different flavors
2) Get a higher and a lower nicotine strength

The best way to do this is to get a sampler pack.

MyFreedomSmokes has a great sampler pack where you can get different flavors and stengths...
Smoke juice sampler packs | My Freedom Smokes

If you have different stengths of the same flavor you can mix them as needed until you find the right nicotine strength for you.
