I really like my cig-a-like. I'm using something very similar to the blu but it's effectively a joyetech. Effectively, this: Joyetech 510 Standard Automatic Battery is the battery I'm using. I have about 5 of these batteries as I can use up to three in a day and find it handy to have some spare incase one runs out on me while I'm out and about. This is also why I have a PCC. Most PCCs I've looked at are for this type of battery only. I refill cartomisers and while it seemed peculiar at first, I quickly got used to it :)

As for not wanting to refill carts, there are plenty of reasons for not wanting to but may I inquire as to why? I've looked at the level of nicotine in the blu cartridges and they're pretty low. As well as it costing a lot more money, would they satisfy your cravings in terms of amount of nicotine in them? Could you tell us more about your current smoking habits and maybe it would give us a better idea?x

I currently smoke a pack a day of Marlboro Gold Special Blend Light 100s. In the past, I smoked Marlboro Ultra Light 100s, but the Special Blend are about $1.50 cheaper a pack. The reason, for right now, that I want to start with a cig-a-like is because not only am I addicted to the nicotine, but also the act of holding the cigarette. I know that being addicted to the actual act of smoking is mental, but I don't want to take everything away at once (if it makes any sense). There is just something calming in the fact that I have a cigarette in my hand.

I know the nicotine levels in some of the cartridges aren't all that high, but since I'm use to smoking light 100s, the nicotine level (from old data I could find) wasn't really all that high (if the data was accurate). I know that e-cigs aren't marketed as a smoking sessation tool, but I figured it would be a good way to gradually decrease my nicotine addiction over time. After that, it's just the physically holding the cigarette that I would deal with, and not both at the same time. I've tried quitting before, by decreasing the number of cigs I smoked in a day, and by quitting cold turkey. Both left me so edgy and I felt like I was going to go crazy.

I knew that the disposable blu that I purchased was way more expensive than two packs of my brand, but I needed to know if I could get similar satisfaction from it before I jumped in and purchased a starter kit. The nicotine level in the disposable is actually too high for me. I can only take a couple drags at a time from it, but the rest of the feeling is similar to a regular cig.

The disposable is a higher nic stick.

You may find the carts lower. There's also different levels (I think).

Plenty of people use the cig-a-likes and love em. There's no requirement that you go with a "Fat Bat" model. Just have plenty of the cig-a-like batteries so you have several charged at once. They only last maybe a couple of hours each between charges...varies depending on vaping style.
