Just about everything you need to know is found within. If it isn't I'm sure there is an answer to be found. Just ask away! As far as ordering a kit I would recommend against it because a lot of the things in those kits you will find you will not need. I suggest piecing together your mixing setup after you have determined what method you are wanting to mix by. As far as flavors I would start with a couple of recipes that you think you might like and buy the flavors for them and give it a shot. But most important though...read read read before you buy and safety safety safety before you mix. That will keep you happy with the mixes you make and make the process all that more enjoyable. Good luck @VaporDaze!

I have a few links you might find helpful. I would suggest you tube to watch someone make juice, read the blogs, read recipes and make a list of ingredients, then shop. Different manufacturers have different strength flavorings, caution when substituting one for another. Distilled water can be used to thin VG, at 5% or less.

keep ur formulas simple
I agree completely !! I see all too often recipes with 8 or even more flavors in them. Overkill or what. Three strawberry flavors, 3 Cream flavors, and so on, and so on. I just do not think that is necessary to blend good juice. You can make every bit as good a juices with just 4 flavor, and this is what I usually average, 3-4 flavors. Heck, one is usually marshmallow for sweetening so technically 3 flavors........

I just started pretty recently too...I'd suggest against a kit as well...just make a list of what you'll need (after "studying" of course) and buy them individually...much cheaper for me, as the kits had a lot of stuff I didn't need.

I use only TFA flavors, and myfreedomsmokes has everything I need. Ive ordered from them three times and I've been impressed.

good luck and have fun!

I'm looking to make max vg, I'm getting 1000ml of vg and my nic base will be vg as well. Will the flavors thin this down a tad or should I get a small bottle of pg as well?
@VaporDaze, no one will be able to give you a answer to this question because the equipment you will be using would make a difference as to how you would need to blend your juices. If you will be vaping with subohm equipment there is no need to add PG. The only PG in your blend will be the flavors you add. That is MaxVG. Now if the equipment you will be using is not Subohm (Aspire Nautilus, Kanger Aerotank, Kanger Emow, ect) then you will not be able to blend any thicker than 70 VG / 30 PG. Any thicker than that and Burnt/Dry hits will most likely become a issue......

So, yes the flavors will thin the juice. Whether you need more PG is hard to answer without knowing more info. Even the flavors you use can make a difference.

To elaborate just a little, say you use Flavour Arts flavors. These flavors are very concentrated. Some flavors you can not use anymore than 2% in your mix. If you made a standalone with this flavor and your nicotine is VG based then your MaxVG blend would be 98 VG / 2 PG. Honestly using my Uwell Crown I think it would be Dry Hit City all the way. In this case, yes, you will have to thin with something. Get the idea?

I agree ! The kits do indeed include things you will never use. Are you using syringes or are you blending by weight? If you are looking for ease, blending by weight is the way to go.......

I got a kit from DIY Flavorshack this week myself. I decided on a kit so I could try things out and see what tools suited me best, but I'm experimental like that. I second the suggestion you find some way to stabilize your bottles. I'll probably be making a simple wood stand to hold my bottles in short order. Nearly tipping one over trying to squeeze the contents of a syringe into it was scary even though I was using low nic. When I bust out my bottle of 100mg nic I under no circumstances want to have that spill. Based on my experiences this week, I recommend syringes with blunt needles of around 14g, a big box of disposable gloves, and a tool chest with lots of drawers to keep you organized. Digging around in a top fill chest is annoying.

Good cheap temporary fix is to take a box top, shoe box top would probably work, and cut small x's to hold your flavors etc. I actually used a fed ex box. One that was about 1.5x5x6 inches. Works perfect for about 2 rows of 4 flavors for a total of 8. I just haven't found anything better yet.
