Hi everyone! I wonder if someone could tell me if i twist 32g kanthal, what would it be like, 28? 26? other? Thanks!

If you did a 2 strand twisted 32 g wire and wrapped it around a 1/16 mandrel for a 1 ohm target it would take 6 wraps according to steamengine.org.
Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

You could yield the same 1 ohm coil with the same 1/16 internal diameter with 6 wraps with 29 gauge untwisted kanthal according to SE.

However, both 1 ohm builds would yield different vape results. It's apples and oranges.

Generally twisted builds yield more flavor.

Perhaps you could be a little more specific with your question?

Your welcome! Here's a few links to several blogs on SE. State o' Flux did a couple of very useful ones. And dampaskin (the author of SE) is the last link...enjoy!

I just wanted to know how to input a twisted 32 kanthal in Steam Engine calculator, it will be the equivalent of a thicker wire, correct? But what gauge?

Thanks

Steamengine has a drop down choice for round, twisted to 4strands and ribbon type wire.. You don't have to do a conversion, unless you are twisting wires of differing gauges.
