above 4.0 ohm issue

hello guys
I am trying to find out the problem that I am havijg with my coil.
I am using 34 kanthel and 4/5 wraps. but I get above 4.0ohm. and even above 3.0 ohm with 3/4 wraps.
how can I reduce my ohm to 2. something?

5 wraps of 32g should give u 2.2ohms, ive never used 34g to high of resistance.

I would try thicker gauge kanthal. I started off using 32 gauge and that was too thin as my resistance was too high. Now using 30 gauge and is perfect for my setup. The other thing you can do is to make your coil smaller in diameter. That will make your coil shorter in length thus lowering the total resistance.

You can twist two pieces of your 34AWG together to create a twisted coil with half the resistance.
