Why the tank is not clear ?
It's frosted b/c in order to get the diameter of the plastic tank to line up with the diameter of the metal sections, as well as to achieve the overall shape/design of the tank itself, the machine shop would have to mill a solid piece of polycarb, and when polycarb goes through a lathe, it comes out frosted! Though I believe there are certain buffing wheels and compounds that can be used to polish up polycarbonate if you're interested...
kintesens, it is a Frosty tank. :) Different, and has never been done up until now.
Well sort of :p
The UFS and big mode Odysseus have been using frosted tank sections for some time now! But this is definitely the first genesis to come stock with a frosted tank, that's for sure!

Will they stand up to heavy citrus, cinnamon, and menthol juices? And do you have plans to add a SS tank to your line of accessories?
Also, I asked above, but in case you didn't see it, what's the OD of the AC9? I'm just curious so I have an idea what mod it'll be sitting on. From the vids, it looks quite a bit larger than the provari, so I'm guessing it's somewhere in the ballpark of 22mm at the base, which means it should sit flush (or close to it) on a GGTS stealth cap :3
Rich, you are exactly right, except our tanks are not made out of polycarbonate, they are made out of PMMA, which is much more durable. :)

Pause the vid at 5:41, it looks to be near the same diameter as the Provari body or close to it. Provari body diameter, 23mm.

The tank is stated to be PMMA, Kir fanis tanks for other atomizers and carto tanks are also PMMA. I would check out reviews of those tanks but it seems that they have been successful and able to stand up to most if not all juice, but that's just my guess.

Thank you! Ok, I have a few tanks from Kir Fanis, so I know what does and doesn't work in em.

Well if these tanks and kir tanks are the same material, there will be cracking. No question in my mind. Just a matter of when not if. Maybe more durable if thicker walled but still. In my case, the juice going in for a test drive won't matter so I know I can safely test out it's capabilities.

RiP, So I finally took a dive on a genesis(albeit, a small one, a DID clone) to see if it is for me. If the project works out I will be looking at an AC9 when I can afford it. I was wondering if you had any plans on making a fill hole plug you can vape with.

I saw that the plastic one that comes with it must be removed to use it, but being a person who is out and about a lot, it would be nice to have one I can vape with for a little extra peace of mind. Don't get me wrong, it is in no way a deal breaker, I have been following the progress of the AC9 for quite some time now and as I said earlier in the thread, the wraparound tank is an amazing feature that more companies should be using! Is the fill hole threaded? If not and you have no plans on a different plug, do you think a person who is relatively handy could make one that would fit?

Edit: Let me add again, that in NO way am I trying to criticize the unit. My job requires movements and strange positions very unlikely to be an issue to most vapers. It is for this reason I don't take my Phoenix to work, or if I did I would just have to drip like a regular atty, a couple drops at a time, no utilizing the fill cup. I usually just have an ego/ego twist and an LR306 or SR 510 atty and bottle of juice, but I would like to start bringing a nicer setup with me. BTW, an ego and LR 306 is an amazing work unit. Even at the low 3.3ish ego voltages, the LR 306 gives off amazing VTF and is a HOT vape, and is small enough to easily fit into pants pockets! Try it out!
