I want to try rda, Im going to start with Igo L, and Igo W , what do you suggest for wire, wick, sizes ect. I own an MVP 2, and Vision spinner mods, I have a fluke multimeter and have a basic understanding of checking/testings resistance, but any suggestions or words from the wise would be helpful as I put my order together:)

I'm in the same boat - I have an IGO-W staring balefully at me from the shelf, unused, and I have the wire, and cotton, and an Ohms checker.

I don't have a mech yet, so my plan is to start with a 1.8-2.0 wrap, on my SiD, and once I'm more familiar with the process (there's not a lot of room to work in there!), try a double coil at 2.0-2.5 ohm. I've read that it's hard to get over 1.6 with 28g, as it takes too many wraps. I got spools of 28 for sub ohm later on, and 30g for playing with now, from what I've read and seen in videos, I should be able to get a coil to 1.8-2.0 with 10-12 wraps.

I think I may go get a sample bottle of something at 6mg of nic, a lot of people comment that anything higher on a RDA is a bit much. I have some 12, I could try that, too.

I use an IGO T on my ProVari all the time. You don't have to go sub ohm to enjoy rebuildables. My average coil is right at 1.5 ohms. Get started and have fun. Your first coil or two will most likely be a mess, but you will get the hang of it. I love RBA/RDA and don't use anything else. I think the IGO series are a great set up to learn rebuilding on.

Maybe 30 ga wire and some 2 mm wick (or use cotton).

Fold the wick over itself, wrap a coil around it a few times...like 6...don't pull it too tight leaving plenty of wick on both "sides" of the coil. The coil is near the center of the doubled over wick.

Stuff it all into the IGO and make sure it's not shorting in any obvious way. Check with a meter for shorts and proper ohms. Warm burn it and get it to glow evenly.

I leave space between the loops...not a microcoil. But there's videos for microcoils too.

Make sure to check the ohms after you put the cap on too (shorts can happen!). This is good practice before you start using a mech. The MVP has short protection, but the mech will not.

I like twisted 30GA 3/32" ID, 1.2 ohm, cotton ball wick, single coil, 18350 batt.

I also like twisted 30GA 3/32" ID, 0.5 ohm, cotton ball wick, dual coil, samsung INR-18650-20R.

I have 32 gauge kanthal and 2mm silica on hand, is the 32 gauge to thin? and what ohm coil, can I use safely on the MVP 2, until I get a mech. mod? I watched videos on building micro coils, that all looks doable, but would I be better off getting some 28g wire to start? The Igo L will perform ok on the MVP, oh man im full of questions!

Go ahead and use the 32 ga wire for a while. Many "stock" coils are even 34 ga.

I've even tried 36 for fun. lol.

The thinner the wire, the higher the resistance and the easier it is to break/fail.

So as you get thicker wire, you need more watts to heat it too (think thermal mass as well as thermal spread of the heat...aka heat per cubic mm of wick...because thicker wire conducts better so less resistance = less heat per inch).

I usually use 30 ga right now for my VV mod. 28 and 26 is common for the sub-ohm mech crowd. You'll have an easier time making coils with 30 or 32 ga for a VV with short protection like the MVP2. Will still work great.
