Acetoin

From what I've read we should stay away from DA/AP and many are posting their results which is great.

But is Acetoin in the same category? Could all of the liquids tested negative for DA/AP now be really high in Acetoin and what harm is that? Is there a "safe" level of Acetoin?

Should we want them to test all 3?

Dr. F. believes acetoin okay, if not contaminated with diacetyl.

Studies on acetoin are sparse, it is a metabolite of diacetyl

Linda explains a little here as far as vaping is concerned,although there are other studies on it but none I found relatiing to vaping it

Butyric Acid is another chemical that may be an irritant.

Interesting post that also mentions acetoin. Fortunately its still possible to do custardy flavors without even acetoin. Would be nice if someone knew more or had links to any kind of peer-reviewed articles on inhalation.
