Hello folks,

I'm relatively new to e-cigs and after a few months of using this setup I have 2 questions.

mod: (Lamda) at 3.1v to 3.3v
tank: (Vivi Nova v2.5) with 1.8ohm heads.
e-liquids: Hickory Tobacco and RY4. Both 50/50 mix.

Here's the issue.
I feel a good / strong 'acidy' taste when I vape.

Question 1: Acidy. Is it the liquid? Is it the voltage? Is it the resistance? Will a different setup (higher resistance, higher voltage or ???) smoothens this?

Question 2: RY4 is a really clear liquid. After a few (about 3-4) of adding more liquid in the tank the color becomes darker, and the taste somewhat nasty. Do I need to clean (empty all 'leftover' liquid + wash/rinse/let dry 24hrs). This 'darkening' also happens with Hickory Tobacco so I'm guessing it's not the liquid but the way I use my gear.

Thank you.

Don't know about question No. 1 except to guess that perhaps your Lamda may be putting out more voltage than you think. 3.3 volts may actually be 3.8. And, it's possible that your 1.8ohm VN heads may be 1.6. Either of those, or a combination of the two, could cause that acidy taste. Try your 2.4ohm VN head and see if you get the same taste.

On question No. 2, it's common for juices to darken in a clearo or tank. So, yes, you need to take your VN apart and clean it every 3 or 4 refills, or however often it needs it. I vape a Ry4 from VaporEscense.com and it is really clear and never darkens up in my VN, but all my other juices do. Some are worse than others.
