Ok, so I ordered a io6 atomizer to try out, and I'm trying to decide between picking up a mini Vivi Nova from Gotvapes or some clearos off Discount Vapers? Thing is, I typically like to vape a bunch of different juices and don't usually vape one juice the entire time, so I'd rather have more clearos with smaller capacity than a few larger capacity ones. I'll either get 2 of the Vivi Novas or like 3-4 of the Thor/Vision/E1 Revive and whatnot. What would you suggest? I know a lot of people have spent a lot more money on stuff than I have, but I've already spent way more than I intended to getting into all this e-cig stuff. I think I tossed half of my Stardusts. I really like their size and design but the vape and taste is blah.

SS/cotton modded Vivi Nova Mini is by far my favorite so far, and while noticably larger in capacity, the physical size is on par with Stardust. Must admit that the standard heads do suffer a bit from the lack of no-resistance wire, causing a little toasted tone in the flavor. Haven't tried the E1-V, but it is quite similar in construction, although I would think that it's a bit more difficult to recoil due to the long shaft in the ato head. The E1-V is a liked clearo also, but the availability is very limited in Europe, as the Vivi Nova Mini and the heads are available pretty much everywhere. If I were you I would get a Nova and an E1-V, and get more of the one you like better. Unfortunately.

I've already spent way more than I intended to getting into all this e-cig stuff.

That is what happens. I does take a few misses to find the correct products for each individual vapist.

I actually use the T2 most of the time less than 50% full (I like switching flavours a lot). I don't get dry hits if I tip it up around every 10 draws or so. Does yours have a plastic cup near the heating coil? This holds a small amount of juice for the wick, but I believe the newer
versions don't use it which seems like a move backwards.

I have a 5 wick head and no, it performs excellent. The only problem is getting them in when it's wet. otherwise it's a freight train

Get two or three Kanger T2. The coils are much cheaper and they hold more liquid AND (important) there aren't so many knockoffs around

Got my Vivi Nova Mini and Vision CC (replaceable Stardust) today. The Stardust already had a small crack on the plastic, but it is still usable. I like both better than the Kanger T2. I seem to have a bit of a battery problem as none of my batteries (eGo Twist 650mA, eGo-T 650mA, Chinese 3.2/3.7/4.2V eGo) give me the performance I'm expecting, even from the rebuildable Phoenix dripping atomizer. Or perhaps my tolerance has grown because of increased vaping.

Anyway, Stardust feels and even tastes like a regular Stardust, and the drag is the tightest of the group. T2 is too airy (and hot, somehow moist) to my liking, and the Vivi Nova Mini is somewhere in between, pretty much optimal to me. I can see the Vivi Nova Mini becoming my favourite clearo/ato.

The replaceable heads (on both Vivi Nova and the Stardust replaceable, I suspect they are interchangeable) are so far the easiest to recoil that I've seen. Extremely close to actual rebuildables. Neither of the heads can be replaced with juice in the tank, while on the Kanger T2 you can. On the T2 the ato head connection leaks if juice is filled above it, while the other two are sealed very well. The heads and the battery must be screwed pretty tight on both the Nova and the Stardust, or the coil does not get a contact.

Regarding the post by "media" above, it could make sense that the tighter draw lets the Stardust create slightly more vapor with a smaller battery. I also noticed that removing the small metal cone at the top of the ato head does free up the airflow slightly. That makes it essentially a Vivi Nova head.

Vivi Nova and the Stardust replaceable are built very well, while the T2 does have some issues. I like the Vivi Nova design and decisions the most. Not sure if the Stardust cracking is an actual issue or just a one off.

Edit: I use 1.8 ohm heads on all of them.

See? All about taste. I love the moist vape of the T2, doesn't make me cough so much, I add less VG to the mix.

T2 Kanger has been my first and only set up and I'm almost at 30 straight days with no analogs!! I got the ego c starter kit but quickly gave up the attys and batts it came with due to leaks...I'm using the twists now with them, bought some wick and wire to rebuild the coils, just ordered a crap load of DIY gear, my next toy will be right to a Reo woodvil... But I would recommend a T2 to anybody, so far my wife and mom has quit smoking due to an Ego C and T2 setup as well. They do operate better when full though, and do get a burnt taste every so often but to fix that just clean every 3 fills or 3 days.. Cheers

One of the errors of newbies with T2 is overfilling... If I fill it all the way up it gurgles... Better leave it 1 notch below 2.4 ml mark.

Have both the thor and the vivi nova and a mini vivi. Of the three I prefer the vivi nova the best the mini doesnt seem to draw quite as well for me as the full sized one. Having said that the mini works well too I just seem to get a tad better results with the full sized ones. The thor isn't bad but I find the draw to be much tighter than the novas and the flavor seems much less consistent.

Of course I just started dripping and in comparison the flavor on all of them is definitely muted, So now I am looking into bottom feeders.

I still have to try the Kanger T0 bottom coil. Just like CE3 but in a Stardust/T2 factor

The head your refering to is, I believe, a version 1 head. On mine, the wick was just a stub and would not even reach the wall of the tube.

How would you keep the wicks wet when they dont touch the tube wall, and your juice is below the coil head and or juice well? Shake it? (not me)

If you take the Version 2 heads, wich are multi stranded and longer, then use the juice cups from the Version 1, then you might be onto to something there..

IMO, any clearo tank that has short and stubby wicks that at least dont touch the wall of the tube is pointless, and a looser out of the gate.....just my :2c:

This does not apply to BC devices, obviously....

A note on the heads. A rebuildable Stardust head will work in a Vivi Nova Mini, but the head's cap system (the silicone tube and the metal 'spike') must replaced with only the silicone tube from a Vivi Nova head (only the silicone cap from Stardust will also work).
I've tried this, but since the Stardust head is taller, the Mini Nova cap won't screw on. How did you get around this?

Could this be related to the different versions of Vivi Nova? I believe I have the Vivi Nova Mini v2.5, long wicks. Just replacing the silicone cap (and the "prong") from the Stardust head with the silicone tube from a Vivi Nova head makes it fit flawlessly here.

T2 is great most of the time but on the 1.8 ohm coil on the Kanger I have to keep the twist at min voltage or it gets burned taste and not much higher with 2.4 ohm approx 3.7 and realy fiddly to diy the coil. So just purchased vivi mini nova 2.5 which with the reviews it should be better. I def dont like cartomisers or mini 1.5 clearos etc. I will update when it comes in with my new vv Smoktek mod box 6v which has rave reviews.

I concur. The T2 is my favorite top coil, but the T3 is my goto device.

You should skip the Kanger TO and get the new Kanger T3 bottom coil. It is better than either the Mini Vivi or the T2 in my opinion. I've been using one for 23 days now and it works great.

I like the mini vivi nova over anything else except maybe dripping. I like the heft of it and the palpable quality. I prefer 1.8ohm on my Ego twists at 4.0 Volts, but that's just me.
One of the many reasons I love vaping is that it is sooooo customizable that the same flavors can have a different taste to different people because of different equipment.

I would say... there is a very good improvement on the new clearomizers.... there is an steady opinion that modern clearos are the closest you can get to dripping (which is the purest way of vaping), I can imagine someone turning from a a junk ego tank system to a kanger or vivi nova, it would be like visiting heaven, a winner and a saver I would say... a veteran who drips will see these clearos as a good choice to vape when vaping is not an option.

Very subjective here.

I picked up a T3 because I was frustrated with all the problems I'm having on my Vivi Nova Mini (burn taste, poor wicking, darkening liquid, etc). After reading so many good reviews of the T3, I really hoped that the T3 would be the holy grail for clearos. But, at the end of the day, the vapor that the T3 produces is just TOO cool for my tastes. It makes my 18mg liquid taste like a 8mg liquid in terms of TH, and I can just baaaarely feel any sort of heat at all. I'd venture to say that on a 12mg flavorless PG, I would not be able to tell the difference coming out of the T3 from water vapor.

That being said, for the 3 days I used the T3, I did not get even the slightest hint of a burnt taste, and it could handle chain vaping like a champ. As for flavor, I'm not sure there's much difference in a T3 versus a VNM at its best (ie, fully wicked). The differences comes in where the VNM would quickly mute after a couple hits because the wick couldn't keep up with the vaping.

So, its a matter of personal preference. I need the heat and the stronger TH that a top coil provides, and would rather grudgingly slow down my vaping to get it. Whereas, others want the flavor consistency that the T3 provides and may find the heat/TH of the top coils irritating to their throat.

I like both the vivi nova and the t2 a lot. I use both everyday. I buy the t2's from surevapes. They sell 5 packs for 18.99 including s&h, which is the cheapest I've found. The heads last quite a long time too. I use the vivi's with aluminum tanks mainly because I vape certain juices that would ruin the t2 like sweet tarts and pink lemonade.
