Adaptor issue

I have a screwdriver from totaly wicked that I have been using a 901 - 510 adapter on for about 3 months and lately I have been having issues with it. A couple of weeks ago I started having problems with my cartos not working, at first I thought it had to do with the new box that I just opened since my older cartos and attys still worked fine. But the problem got worse and now I can't get any of them to work except for my ATO-miser which has a longer center pin.
My question is, do these adapters have a limited life span and I just need a new one or is there somrthing I can do to fix this? I am unemployed and need to make every thing last as long as I can.

As you refered, you ATO-miser has a longer pin so it might have pushed the pin down making it to low for your cartos.
Even in my Revolution 2.1 i have to raise the center pin from time to time.

Skeet5 was right, the center pin was pushed down. I thought the center part os the adaptor was firmly fixed in place but it actualy moves up and down a small amount. When I screwed the ATO-miser on it pushed the center pin of the Screwdriver down so that the cartos wouldn'y work. Now that I know that this can happen I will be more carfull.

With many of these adapters the center contacts are 2 pieces that are threaded together. The assembly can be lengthened.
