I am very confused about adapters and passthroughs and am hoping that someone who knows about these things can help me
As everyone knows, ones pv's tend to multiply before you even being aware of it or how it happens (at least that is what I tell my DH) - and as they are not good at sticking to their own kind I find myself turning to adapters to make them all get along - but adapters, I am being to understand are not quite as adaptable as they make themselves out to be. I am hoping someone who has some understanding of these things could expaine it to me, and tell me if these failures are on account of my poor choices of equipment -or it this is as good as it gets.
For one I bought this Joye 510 High Powered Passthru which is really just a 901 passthrough with a 901/510 adapter. It works well with 510 atomizers and cartomizers if plugged into my 8 year old laptop - but will not work with this ego wall charger/usb port shown here: Tasty Vapor (which works fine at charging batteries) it will lite up but will not produce any vapor. I was really hoping not to have to use it with my pc and was wondering if the fault was that particular charger/usb port (on it it says Output DC 5.0v=500mA)
Also I tried screwing a 510/rn4081 adapeter into the 901/510 adapter when attached to the passthrough when attached to laptop and got nothing - so I guess 2 adapters at once is too much??
I do use my 510/rn4081 adapters a lot in order to use my rn4081 carto's with my egos and they work great. I also finally bought a 901/rn4081 adapter to use with my passtrhough when doupling up adapters failed and that works fine with my rn4081 cartos. But, today I got an rn4081/510 adapter to use my 510 cartos with my rn4081 batteries but it would not work with either my LV or regular 510 cartomizers. I thought it was just a dud, but then I tied it with a 510 automizer and it worked great. I checked out the cartimizers on a 510 and they worked fine - and they also worked with the 901/510 adapter. Why would 510 altomizers work with a rn4081/510 adapter but 510 cartomizers be unable to?
