Back to the function rather than what it looks like. juice is automatically drawn into the cart when you take a draw so there's no need for pumping or any other assistance.

Hey parallex didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. I actually like the design and the functionality. Could I get to a link to the thread where this is on? :)

There's no single thread per se, just a couple where I posted the pics in Modder's after I completed one. Not sure what search terms would call them up tho

Check out the Prodigy V3.1 from Puresmoker.com. I've had mine since September and have absolutely no desire to look for anything else, as I don't see how there could possibly be a better device out there anywhere. You can run it at 3.7v or 6v, but I'm so hooked on 6v vaping that I could never go back to 3.7. You can order it with the 510 adpater and run it with 510 attys, SR 306 attys or SR Boge cartomizers for the very best that vaping has to offer, in my opinion. If you've tried everything else, it's worth a look...

I checked out the prodigy v3, i love the looks of it, but the only vid review i saw was by grimmgreen and the battery kept rattling inside when moved. Does your battery click around too?

When you use the prodigy at 6v what type of atty's do you need? whats the advantage to 6v?

I'm still planning the ProVari and Reo Mini over the next couple months but may have to add the prodigy if it doesn't usually make noise!

Hey babe, there has been a common knock on the Provari that it is heavy for a mod and I didn't know if that played into your decision, Don't forget about Notcigs new ∞ if you're thinking VV, its a lot cheaper and it is actually available.......:2c:

Personally, I don't do VV (yet!) and I love my mods, that's why they are listed.:) And +1 on the Darwin's....ummmm...looks!!!:lol::lol:

You might also want to consider a mod that uses the 18650 batteries. The advantage is the incredibly long battery life. If you are going to be out and about all day or a few days these can't be beat for battery life. So if you order the provari you might want to consider getting the extention cap. You might also consider the Megalodon. It's an all mechanical mod that can use a variety of batteries, it's small for a big battery mod. the locking button on the end is very nice and easy to use as well. If you use a single 16340 battery it's one of the smalles mods on the market. I think it's sharp looking too.

Happy Vaping

Yah I figured that may be the case. I thought I saw it and even went through a couple threads in mod forum, but no luck. I do however like your mini me mod. If you ever want to make another one pm me :)

I recently purchased a Prodigy V3.1 ... I cannot comment on the 6v setup (two batteries). I ordered the 3.7v kit, so there is no rattling of the large, single battery, which goes all day (or more) on a single charge. I use LR 510 attys (for dripping at home) and LR Boge cartos (for on the go) and am absolutely loving the hassle-free vaping experience. Puresmoker makes a very, very solid product.

I went through that phase! I have far too many ecigs, and I have my eye on a Reo Mini. Right now I have a Roughstack, and LOVE it, but do want a bottom feeder too. DH is building me a basic wetbox just to see how the concept works.

If you want to play where I tend to have a lot of fun, and geek out is playing with different carts, atties, and juices. Mods and the like are essentially switches and batteries. I lack the technical sophistication to really geek out on them, but dang juice, and carts are fun. 5 volt gets warm for me- I've yet to try my Maxi Roughstack at 6v.

You can blow through a week's worth of cigarette money on just carts. My faves at the moment are the Vortexes from Got Vapes and Boge 2.0 ohm cartos with an honorable mention to Xtreme Vaping's 1.7 ohm atomizers. You can change a lot about your vaping experience with carts and it's a cheap thrill :)

Oh, and modding my ecigs is fun too. I get out the nail polish, and stickers and have a high old time with that too! Nail polish does work well on batteries, but a good glittery topcoat seals it in well. You can change it out every week. I've been known to match my manicure to my ecig. :?:

The Reo is the definition of PV's. After you use one you will say "this is the way it is supposed to be".

The Darwin is more like a self-maintained Bugatti. It flies and you don't have to think about anything. No calculations, no pressing a button forty times - just adjust an ergonomically located wheel until you get the taste you like. That's it. Oh, and make sure you unplug the charger after you use it - you won't need it for many days afterward. It looks long in pictures because it is so slim with the battery technology. It is only a little taller than most tube mods without their attys and tips. It is much shorter than most mods that have attys attached. Comes standard with a 2 year warranty. Very impressive device.

I almost bought a ProVari instead of the Darwin. I have not used one. The thought of not having to use a little screwdriver and multi-meter to calculate the wattage was intriguing. But simply tuning in to what I liked, versus go thru the calculations, pushed me to the Darwin. Everyone who's seen it (mostly non- vapors) think it is cool looking. If anyone has a description, it is usually "looks like an inhaler of some kind". I reply, "Yes, it is".

SuziesMom, you ever tried those new press on polishes? I was looking at those today, hoping they came in a roll but they're instead individual nail shaped...things. I did try my hand for the first time at nail decals but I'm curious - do you polish over nail polish or do you remove it with acetone first?

As for buying a lot of PVs and ecig-related stuff...even if I buy a mod every two weeks I'm spending a fraction over what I spent on cigarettes, lighters, breath mints, hand wipes, travel size cans of Lysol (for my car), air filters for the house and those little disposable toothbrushes. I was a self-conscious smoker and in addition to spending a lot on cigarettes - 2 packs @$10 ea per day - I invested a lot of time and energy fighting the odor on and around me. So, even if I fall for and buy every shiny new vape toy I do so with great joy and none of that baggage.

I tried the press-on polish a few years ago when Avon brought them out, and I thought they were a little fussy to work with- at least on nails. I think it could work on an ecig, but when it cures it really is just like nail polish, so it seems like it would be expensive to coat a battery in the stickers.

I remove the old polish with acetone, and then repaint it. I don't know if the acetone kills the finish on the Rivas because the paint jobs are still going strong- but it was fine on my Inferno. The Roughstack can't be killed because it has no finish.

The Roughstack is HARD to paint and have it look even...so I'm thinking I need to try something else. I love that one so much, but every time I take it out of my purse it just looks like a pipe bomb.

Spray paint did NOT work....I'm thinking something like decoupage, contact paper, or even a fabric sleeve might be good.

I'm working on perfecting my rendition of that $8 box mod. Yes, I have more time and money than I have sense and I like to tinker. So far, I've made two that work using slight design modifications. If you're handy and have a soldering iron, you really should try one making one. I really like mine.
