If I have a juice that just needs a bit of sweetening (like a bitter coffee flavor) is it okay to do this? I buy the concentrated liquid (E Z Sweetz) from Amazon for sweetening drinks and in cooking.
Splenda usually contains 95% dextrose (D-glucose) and maltodextrin which the body readily metabolizes, combined with a small amount of mostly indigestible sucralose. Sucralose is made by replacing three select hydrogen-oxygen groups on sucrose (table sugar) molecules with three chlorine atoms. The tightly bound chlorine atoms create a molecular structure that is remarkably stable.[15] Sucralose itself is recognized as safe to ingest as a diabetic sugar substitute,[16][17] but some Splenda products may contain sugars or other carbohydrates that should be evaluated individually. Research as of 2003 suggested that the amount of sucralose that can be consumed on a daily basis over a person's lifetime without any adverse effects is 15 mg/kg/day,[18] or about 1 g for a 70 kg (150 lb) person. This was revised downward in 2008 to 9 mg/kg/day, or about 0.6 g.[19]
I find that sucralose dampens flavor somewhat, and gunks my cotton wicks fairly quickly. I use sparingly.

I agree with Johnathon. I make my own liquid sucrolose from powder. Its easy and affordable. I use Splenda in the kitchen so I have a dual use for it. I mix my powder with distilled water and keep in the refrigerator. It can be mixed in pg or vg as well.
The EZ sweet does gunk up coils. Pure sucrolose (mixed) does not gunk my coils.![]()
I am using sucrolose that is used for manufacturing sucrolose liquid. It can be obtained on Amazon and some diy vendors. Thanks, I DO know that Splenda is quite adulterated - with sugar. I don't use it in food for that reason. And Sdh, what you said was actually different. You say you're using Splenda? I'll look at The Flavor Apprentice, thanks.

Oh myyyyy! Never looked at the DIY stuff available before!!!!! Head spins with possibilities!
I would recommend getting your Sucralose sweetener from The Flavor Apprentice as it is pure sucralose diluted in PG. EZ Sweets is not pure sucralose and contains preservatives (Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Succinic Acid and Citric Acid), so it will most likely gunk your coils up quick and potentially yield a rather bitter or acrid taste over a short period of time. I've heard plenty of people recommend EZS, but I've never understood why due to the additional chemicals being present.
Some e-liquids do have Citric Acid in them to give them a sour note, though the others are preservatives and do not below anywhere near e-liquid.
How do I get an idea of any sort of sugar-equivalence from this stuff?
I really like the idea of using it though.
