additives

So I'm getting ready to start mixing my own. I see a lot of different recipes that don't just use the base flavors they have different additives. So what I would like to know is if someone knows a thread or someplace on here that can tell me all of the different additives or flavor enhancers and what they do. Like this one enhances fruits, or this one is a sweetener or this one is used to make the vape cool tasting... if anyone knows what I'm talking about please help thanks
