I recently starting using the ADM in my 902, and have found it to be far superior then any other mod I've used, but I'm still up in the air on what to use as the plug.

Polyfill: works, but doesn't seem to wick as well as the Fluval and Blue Foam. Also seems (to me) to alter the taste more, and gives a more burned taste when getting dry

Fluval: Works well, wicks fine, but I feel it doesn't get as saturated as I'd like, to get that deep throat hit, as if I was dripping. If I leave the cartridge up so gravity can pull the juice down onto the Fluval, long enough, I'll get a couple of those good hits, but I have to leave it a while before I could get another.

Blue Foam: This is the real point of my post. When it works, its AMAZING, but I feel like I cant figure out the perfect balance of just enough Blue Foam to keep the atty SATURATED without flooding the atty. Too little and the cart leaks like a faucet, too much and it could wick just as bad as the polyfill (or worse).

My question is what does everyone use for their ADM, and how much of said material do you use?

For example:

When I use the Fluval I use just enough that I could easily stuff just the empty space above the spring with my fingers and sit about flush with the top. If I have to use a paper click to get it in there, I know I used too much.

When I use the Blue Foam, if I do that, I flood the atty. I've tried everything I could think of.

Cutting it the the same length and a little wider then the open space in the
cart.

Cutting it into a V so that the part that goes into the cartridge is smaller then the part that goes at the top of the cartridge, in hopes that saturating the bottom will help more juice make its way to the top.

I feel the Blue Foam could be FAR better then most materials if I could just get the size right.

I love the blue foam. But fidgety is an understatement :) It's a matter of getting it just right. Works amazing once you've got it, and then that plug can be washed and used over and over again without more fidgeting. Too big, doesn't wick, too small, leaks like a stuck pig. But I still use it exclusively.

Any insight on how you measure it out? I've spent the past two days trying to figure out the perfect size, and have all about given up and moved back to the Fluval.

I don't measure I'm afraid =/ I usually just start a little big and nip it down by hand with scissors bit by bit if it needs it. Hardly convenient to make, but like I said. Once you've cooked a few up perfectly, they're easy to clean, and refill. Since it's all one plug, instead of dripping onto it, or filling with a syringe, I just use a little custom hook I've made (the wire from a twist tie, with some of the twist tie still on for a grip.) Pull it, refill and pop it back in.

I just started using Blue Foam tonight and ran into the weirdest problem. I choke like a 10 year old taking a drag off his mother's cigarette for the first time. I've never had this problem with my vaping until now. Has anyone else run into this? The stuff we got is pre-cut, so if it's a size issue...I can make it smaller, but not bigger.

I am hoping this is something easily fixed, because Blue Foam is really easy to work with.

I'm guessing maybe you got the foam from strictly e juice? If so, look into the BFD (blue foam dart) mod. I started using that method a couple days ago and it works like a charm with those small squares. I wasn't happy with the blue foam until I made the darts with it.

Thank you Dudeman. I checked out that mod. It looks pretty easy and I'm anxious to try it.

I should mention though, it appears to be more the juice that was making me hack rather than the Blue Foam. After I posted my first post, I changed the juice and that seems to have made a difference. It's juice I had used before, but only in my Sidesho. This was the first time I had used it in my 902 USB pass through. I am guessing that maybe the extra kick made the juice more difficult to tolerate?

Sigh...I'm such a nOOb. LOL
