Hi everyone! Im somewhat new to vaping (only a couple of weeks), and im loving it:). i bought myself a v2 after researching and deciding what i thought would be best for me. No problems with the v2 so far but i think i need to upgrade to an ego style. I thought i would be able to learn about them and understand well enough to make a decision. Well all ive gotten from it so far is confused, so i better ask before my head starts hurting. i vape pretty constantly when im not working (basically all day long) or on my commute to and from work (an hour) and i find that my carts only last me a little while and i need to refill my liquimax 2 or 3 times a day. i would like to find something that will last me so i was thinking an ego t or c but i dont really understand which is a better choice. honestly i dont know if im just missing something other than ego though, they just seem to pop up everywhere. any suggestions, links, or recommendations would be great. Im not looking for something too advanced at the moment as i would like to make this as painless as possible. thanks in advance

This is what I started out with in the eGo world:

SmokTek eGo 1100 CE4-Changeable Coil Clearomizer E-Cigarette Kit with carry case

It's an inexpensive setup, super easy to use, and the batteries will last you nearly all day on one charge, even if you're a heavy vaper. As far as e-liquid capacity, a 3.5ml Vivi Nova tank will definitely last you all day. They're inexpensive as well. :vapor:

I started with V2 myself and have used the liquimax blanks from them. When I moved to the eGo's I started using these.
Vision Vivi Nova Mini Tank
Easy to use, fill, and the head's can be replaced or rebuilt. Plus can change flavors quickly by washing it out with hot water, dry burning it the reload.
I chain vape at work(IT tech graveyards in data center) I fill once before work and once at work. Or they have a larger size.

I wish I'd of started with this as my first kit! For $40 you get two high-capacity egos, two clearos, a charger, and a case! Name brand products, too! ......and for forty bucks it'll hold you over as you do more research....

Vision eGo Starter Kit

Good luck with your quest!

Thanks for the quick replies everyone! That helps a lot. Google can only show so much i guess. i did want something that i would be able to see how much liquid i had left but i couldnt find any that had a starter kit with that. one question, would the replacement coils on the smoktek be a good thing to have or shouldnt i worry too much about them? also would variable voltage be a smart thing to consider? i dont really understand the benefits at the moment

Believe me, the replacement coils will save you a lot of money long-term. VV batteries are really simple to use, and the main benefit is that some e-liquids taste better at lower voltage settings, and vice-versa for higher settings. It's all about finding your very *own* sweet spot, as everyone is different.

How often do coils need to be replaced? Or can they be cleaned to last longer?

It depends on how heavily you vape. I'm a heavy vaper, and one coil typically lasts me 2-3 weeks, at least. They can also be cleaned, there are lots of videos on youtube that demonstrates the process. I'll find you a link, hang on a few minutes....

This was the only video I could find at the moment, because my youtube account suddenly started acting up for some reason, but it covers the gist of it. Can someone else find him a link specifically for the changeable coil clearomizers?

Edit: This video shows you how to change your coil:

You can clean them, and you'll know when they need replaced, no vapor. As for how long they last, depends on too many variables to answer, a few days to weeks. Some juice is harder than others on coils, how much you vape also plays a factor, whether you clean them or not. I rotate so much that many of mine last for months, but not everyone has up to six devices in use at once.

VV is great, Spinners and Twist are ego style batteries with a dial on the bottom, start low and work your way up until you find the spot you like for what combination of juice and delivery system you are using. Kanger makes some great clearos, in my opinion, and MyVaporStore has a nice VV Spinner/Twist kit. http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm.

I know the feeling of wondering what to get, wasn't that long ago for me. Good luck with your quest, and if you are like many of us, you will try many different things.

Third Steves suggestion. I would go with the twist but they are both good. I would get the evod as suggested by katya that is a bottom coil and and then get a t2 that is a top coil so you can try each. Then go to fastech.com and get a knock off pass through so you have something to plug in just in case of a battery emergency. Fastech is cheep but takes a 10 or more days to deliver. It is also what it is, unbranded Chinese stuff but most people seem to have good luck with there stuff. But, they are still a little bit of and unknown and you have to be careful what you are actually buying.

Welcome to the dark side! Good job on kicking the stinkies!!!

Thanks everyone! This cleared up a lot of things for me. I think i will go for the vision ego to save a little money up front. i figure i can always upgrade the battery if i feel like im lacking something (can always use another spare am i right?). I'll probably get a vivi nova clearo as well but was wondering if i could replace the coils on the ce4s that come with the vision
