So, I've fallen on and off the wagon with vaping. I've had a lot of DIY juices that have not been the flavor I like, so I find it hard t stick with it. But, I had a strawberry & cream that I really enjoyed. By the time I filled the tank a second time I didn't taste anything. It's a new atomizer in the tank, so I don't think that is it. I just bought a sample pack from Vape Wild to get some more of the flavors I like, but I'm concerned that they will start to lose flavor again. Do you alternate what you fill, or do you vape the same flavor over and over? I know people talk about an ADV, but I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Should I be rinsing the coil each time I fill? Thoughts or suggestions?

I keep 4 to 5 setups all with different flavors for the day. I have several ADV. If you are vaping the same flavor constantly your taste buds can become immune to the taste for a while. It's best to switch flavors often. Try to find a few good flavors and switch out throughout the day.

howdy - and welcome!

you may be experiencing 'vaper's tongue' - desensitization of taste buds... there are a number of discussions about it here on the forum, and a number of remedies suggested... I tend to rotate several tanks with different flavors, make sure I am drinking a lot of water and occasionally make sure I 'shock' my taster with spicy food, pickles, etc to, in effect, reset them...

I wouldn't be rinsing the coil unless you are changing flavors - and then you will want to let it air dry before using it...

Personally I have to rotate what I vape. I have friends that can vape the same day after day. I carry 2 tanks with different juices as well as a dripper and a small selection of juice to drip. I have found if I switch tanks or drip a different flavor at points through the day my favorites tend to taste like I think they should. 2nd tank seems a little quick but I'm a weird one who rarely uses the same juice all day. That's one of the joys of Vaping there isn't a right or wrong way, just what works for you. Gl :vapor:

Ah, so I've heard of "vaper's tongue" but didn't read up much, I will now. Thanks dcfluegel for the bit about letting it dry completely in between too, I wasn't aware.
So what i'm hearing from everyone else is that I need to buy some hardware, or at the very least switch day to day. I've been interested in a more cylindrical style setup, I find it more appealing than the Kanger I have, so I may look into that, but if nothing else I can get a second tank for the Kanger. Thanks for the suggestions all. Glad it's not me totally messing up, lol.

Yup, it's vaper's tongue and is normal. What I used to do when it happened to me was have two e-cigs set up with different juices and take a few drags from one then the other. That eliminated the issue for me. Once I was back to normal I would change every couple of hours. If you do this, I suggest you get a second e-cig so you don't wear the threads out.

You can also vape less often so your taste buds and sense of smell don't get desensitized to the flavor. Either just vape fewer hits per hour, or vape for say 10 minutes and then put it away for a bit.

haha this post made me decide I wanted to switch flavors.

Yea, Its well known if you vape the same thing for an extended period, it starts to seem to lose taste. I Think the tastebuds kinda get sick of it. best to switch it up.
Ive found my niche. I need 4 flavors. I rotate 2. I keep 2 on me, and when I start to get a bit tired, I usually switch one out.
for example I just switched out my yogurt for my raspberry... And I still have my melon in my other RDA, Which I may switch to strawberry a bit later
