Another thread in DIY got me playing with Milkstone (Bavarian Cream, Coconut and Sweet Cream) as a base for my Custards and I have a tasty start going!
Hoping to punch the Vanilla up, I tweaked that original base into:
100% PG base no Nic
CAP Fr Vanilla 25%
F'art Vienna Cream 20%
CAP Marshmallow 15%
INA Coconut 10%
TFA Sweet Cream 10%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 10%
INA Wanilla 10%
So for my first run batch I have
CAP VC 10%
Milkstone 2%
I did a 4 hour 150 degree hot water bath (the color change is this neon ruby red monster!) yesterday and did a quick tasting today.
Super creamy and smooth, great mouth feel, buttery without the butter standing out and not too eggy. It needs to go back into the box for about 3 weeks though. The F'art and INA flavors really need that amount of time to develop. I'll let y'all know how it goes.
