Your batteries have to be over 440 or 450mah (can't remember which one it is) for them to work properly and not kill your PV... what kind of batt's do you use? I am an LR atty fanatic! I haven't used a regular atty since I first tried them over a month ago. They put out great flavor and vapor and have lasted me this whole time. If you haven't tried a HV mod yet I highly suggest you pick some up, you won't be disappointed.

Ive been using a LR atty with a 510 Mega batt, 280mah.... while it does drain the battery pretty fast ( i vape a lot) im not seeing any other problems.

I posted 510 discussion thread about my LR atty experience and my thoughts on it in a different post.... also in that post is a bit of math for those that want to see a break down. check that out.

I've always loved my J-Stick, but 3.7v was never enough for me, so I jacked it up with a 510 bypass. You loose a little of the 510 euphoria, but not much and still better than a straight 3.7v

When I saw some LR 801 attys, I grabbed one to see how it would do.

WOW!! gave that ol' Stick new life!! I have noticed it drains the battery faster and I pretty much have to go to dripping with it, but a small price to pay.

Haven't tried it with my eGo yet. For the cost of those batteries, I just use my Janty attys on them.

I have been using a Janty LR atty with my eGo for the past 3 weeks, and I absolutely love it!! It puts out what to me appears to be twice the vapor of a standard 510 atty, although I'm thinking it's "cooking" the flavor (I tend to like the sugary flavors like caramel, butterscotch, etc)... but I've always been one who likes the "big cloud" effect so I don't mind.

The expense of them gives me a little pause, but once again all I have to do is compare what I used to spend on analogs vs. my WORST monthly expenditure on ecigs and I feel better again.

I've had one for a couple weeks now. So far, well, I'm underwhelmed. Sorry, I seem to be the only one who is. And honestly, it may grow on me with time. Observations so far, it's a juice hog. And, the vape is like the regular 510s with an emphasis on the qualities of a 510 that don't appeal to me. Hot, dry, tasteless. Oh, using TorneGo battery. And, I recognize I'm a minority voice (I'll keep trying, maybe I'll like it after it's broken in more?).

For what it's worth, the regular 510s have grown on me a bit over time. I didn't initially like them much at all. They're ok now, but still not my favorite. Go figure.

no NCC, you are definately not alone !

for me its running to hot, even on a original eGo/510 battery. no way i use this on my SB or GGTS. it kills the flavor and burns up the juice very fast. what for ? for people that are in a hurry it may be nice to take 2 second drags, but i am a little gourmet, so no way i use this thing very much.

OK quick question-I've ordered my LR atty. I drip when not using cartos. My question should I remove the bridge from the LR atty like I do the regular 510 atty or leave it. With it removed on the reg atty, I get a better TH and the vapor is a bit warmer.

TIA :D

I dont think you need to remove it. I cant even see any on these LR attys.
TH Should be fine..

The LR 510 atty creates great vapor, but it only works for 1 week maybe 10 days and then it goes cold suddenly..(from my experience)
I use it on the eGo and it is perfect...but really a week!
So since it is the best vapor maker I find myself doing the math and looking for the cheapest with at least a DOA warranty. Then my brain says HEY I remember when 510 attys were just as good as the LR and had a 2 week or a month warranty..

Betty, you may be ready for a variable voltage mod: use whatever atty you like at whatever resistance you like and adjust the watts (i.e., the intensity of the vape) by adjusting the voltage of the battery package (i.e., the mod).

  • The best/only large tubular one is the $115 Buzz.

  • The best/only box one is the $199 FistPack. [Variable among preset voltages, not fine-tunable.]

  • The best/first inexpensive, small one is the $65 Little Sister.
OR you could try the 2.0 ohm (rather than 1.5) LR attys from IkenVape.

Betty, you changed back to your previous avatar! It certainly does match your screen name, but I like them both (I assume the other was a photo of the real you).

I tried using my own photo recently, but people complained, so back to the guy everyone thinks of as DonDaBoomVape. And I guess he is; I just do his typing.

Don, Ya that was the real me... but with the screen name being bettyboop it just didn't make any sense. Oh and BTW I liked seeing the real you too !
Funny I choose betty because when I was setting things up with the forum way back when... my sister had me looking for bettyboop stuff for her new convertible and I have a real hard time choosing screen names..LOL
I really wish I would have put more thought into it, who knew I was going to enjoy everyones company on this forum for years !
