So, what is the ideal range of what people like coils to be? I know everyone says it's better with something rebuildable and the flavors come out - but is there a range that you want the coil ohms to be to get a great vape? The new one I built is exactly 1.0.

"Range" is relative to how you like to vape and the only limit is your mod and battery. On regulated mods (like your Provari) there is normally a limit as to how low you can go (0.8 ohms if I remember). But you will normally get the same vape from beginning to end. With VV/VW you can adjust to taste and the mod offers a level of safety. On a mech there is no internal limit so it allows for much lower builds. However, battery knowledge and safety come into play here since there is you are in essence the safety.

which - by the way you would think I officed with cheech and chong. Room filled with smoke. :) yay!

So it's good? :D

It's AWESOME! I took the easy way out though on my first build b/c I was just wanting to try it so bad and did 28g on ekowool. I wish the coil would have been higher than 1.0 I think b/c it won't let me fire it higher than 3.6v without it giving me an error. So, I guess next time more wraps. But, next time I'm going to try microcoil on cotton. for now, i'm tasting the actual flavors in betelguese. Like, it's almost like a jolly rancher whereas in a protank before it was like drinking a cup of water that a jolly rancher had been in? I can't think of another way to explain other than it now tastes like how it smells. For me, I would have liked to be able to fire it at a higher voltage more like 4.3 or so - so i'm guessing the only way to do that is build it next time to read higher. All of this is new to me, but I see now why it's worth it!

I think 1.3 lets you get the closest to 15 watts and 3.5 amps, which are both limits of the Provari.

I use this calculator. I enter the ohms that I built and coupled with 15 watts. It will tell you the max amps you can use as long as the amp section doesn't go over 3.5

Watts - volts - amps - ohms conversion calculator

You will see that with the 1 ohm coil you built, you can only get up to 12.25 watts, if you enter 1ohm and 3.5 amps.

On my patriot or trident I like .4-.6 ohms.. On my KFL+ I think 1.4-1.6 ohms.
