Ok, so I haven't been a vaper long - about a week or two I guess. But I feel like I have some advice to give based on my experience, so here it goes. First, know that this forum is an amazing resource. Probably like a lot of newbies, I was a mix of excited to jump in, but anxious to make sure I did it right. So I jumped in with both feet, but after ordering and spending money, I continued to research. While I'm now happy, I could have probably saved myself some money if I had some quick answers right up front.
Here's what I wish I would have known: buy a couple of Ego batteries and a charger, buy a couple of separate ego vision clearomizers, and buy good juice from a trusted vendor like Heather's Heavenly Vapes for example. I know Ego's and clearos aren't for everyone, but as a starter it's pretty cost effective and it's a great place to start.
I bought an Ego-Tank kit along with some juice all from the same vendor - a vendor who is hardware focused and also happens to sell a small line of juices - and I was underwhelmed. It was OK, but the flavor wasn't there, and all these people were talking about these great flavors from other vendors, and I just didn't get it. So I did more research and ended up buying a couple of clearomizers and a sampler from HHV (note: I have no connection to them and there are other juices out there I still plan to try, this was just my path).
After getting the stuff, I just have to say wow. The clearos give such a better experience and the juice is amazing!! The stuff I had before will now be for emergencies in between orders.
If I had only known this, I actually would have saved money by separately buying the batteries, charger, clearos and juice over the kit I bought, and I would have been happy right off the bat.
I'm sure some folks will disagree with my setup, and I know I'm new, but hopefully this can help someone have a better early experience.
