I currently use an eGo-C twist with Kanger t3 clearomizers. I have been very happy with it so far and have quit smoking successfully.

I am looking for a new adjustable voltage battery and have heard quite a bit about provari.

What advantages would a provari unit have over the eGo-C twist I have now?

What can you guys recommend as far as a new battery/setup?

thanks

Pretty good leap from an ego to a Provari. However, there is nothing really better, all things considered. The Provari is more an evolution to a solid variable voltage device with an Ohm reader, built of the highest quality and precise electronics and power delivery. There are dozens of China made devices between the ego and the Provari, and many of them are quite good and considerably less expensive. I've tried most of them and know from first hand experience that at one point I really had to have variable power, which the Provari lacks, and an ego threading for my evods, which the Provari also lacks. That aside, I use carto tanks now, and don't need variable power, have sold about a dozen mods in the under $100 category and primarily only use the Provari's at home and a mini Provari when away. Occasionally, I will also use the Innokin iTaste 3.0 when out and about, and I do keep an eVic as a backup with variable wattage/power.

If you can make the leap, then by all means, do so. If you need to experiment along the way, do that, and don't worry, vape gear holds its value really well and stuff sells like hot cakes on the ECF classies and eBay. I got rid of half my collection in under a week on eBay, and often for more than I paid. I was quite surprised how the auctions turned out.

For a long time, I had all the China APV's and the Provari's, evolved from clearos to cartos/tanks, and do the RBA thing on the weekends with Ithaka, Genny and Kayfun's, and drippers. So, that's my two cents. Go for it, if you can, or enjoy the journey. Either way, you can't lose. Best to you!

Try the eGO VV 2 from SLB, passthrough ( can vape and charge at the same time) and it's variable voltage 3v-6v. Priced to sell this are a great next step from the basic eGO. I use one with an AGT rebuildable (Genesis Tank). It's something I use all day in my rotation. AGTVV2.jpg

What would I use with the provari? The thin tube I see on the top on a lot of them looks like a cartomizer. Do people connect clearomizers to it and if so which direction should I go?

The Provari is a very nice PV if you want to drop the cash on it. There are certainly loads of fans throughout this site. You don't have to spend that much for a nice mod though. I have a Vamo and a Sigelei Zmax that are currently on rotation. I don't really feel the need to up grade to a Provari.

The variable wattage is an awesome feature on mods. I use that a ton. I also love the resistance meter on my mods. It really comes in handy if you build your own atomizers

I agree while I agree the provari is good quality I can't justify the money for it. I know that I will be getting a mechanical in the future being it is the natural progression. I'll spend more money on it, for now my SVD works great.

You can pretty much use anything you want on a Provari. It has a 3.5 amp limiter built in to protect both you and the PV itself, so it won't support any of the sub ohm stuff.
You will need a 510/eGo adapter to use any of the clearos that have an eGo skirt/threads. Vivi Novas & Protanks fit fine.
The "thin tube" you would usually see on my Provari is just a simple dripping atomizer.

As far as price, the Provari costs less than a months worth of cigarettes where I live. So the cost was easy to justify.

Im not sure if you have enough post to checkout the classys here but if you do you can fine some super tube mods for a good price. Its the 1st place I look before buying new. I'll be putting up a iTaste soon for the fraction of the price. Just listen to everyone, do your homework then decide. :)
