Hopefully this is the correct place for my question and if not I guess the mods will move it. I have been cig free for 3 months now and have only used the Kanger EVOD ( Kanger Evod Starter Kit - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes ) Although I have no fear of going back to smoking I feel the need to try a better vaping device. At times I am underwhelmed with the one I have. I would like to try a variable voltage one of a similar size and shape as the one I currently use. I have perused the various forums and can see I know very little. Hence the lack of any additional information. Any advice would be most welcome.

If you're happy with the Evod tank itself, then I wouldn't change that. They work just fine, I have an Evod 2, T3D and Protank 3 Mini, and I love them. Except that I have to refill them every few hours because the tank doesn't really hold that much. What you probably need is a variable voltage / wattage device. When you're getting that "Come on ecig, I need more!" feeling, you can just turn the power up a little.
Your best bet for an upgrade would be getting a couple of eGo Twist or Vision Spinner batteries. I have both, but I prefer the eGo branded ones, they feel more solid to me, but that's just my preference. They're pretty simple to operate, same sort of button that you're using now. The bottom has a little dial on it that lets you turn the voltage up or down.
The other popular step from where you're at is an iTaste MVP 2.0, it's a smallish box mod, that lets you adjust the voltage / wattage with a quick button press. The battery will last me 2+ days between charges and it's been reliable for me. (They're sold in a kit with iClears, which I didn't care for that much) It is a bit bigger than the eGo though because of the shape.

Another option would be the Kanger Evod VV, its just like the batteries you already have, except its a bit longer, and VV.

This is a 650 mAh battery--they also come in 1000 mAh capacity, but those are longer....

And it will also work with your existing charger so it's a low cost way to test out what VV brings to the table. All you need to buy is: one Evod VV battery, especially if you like and want to stick with the eGo size/shape format for now.
