PS: i use a company that is based in Colombia that offers Mail Forwarding from Miami. They take care of the customs, you just have to ship all the items to the Mailbox Address that the Mail Forwarding company, whichever you may choose, tells you to.

After the quick look to the list above I haven´t got any desire to visit the Phillipines... If any bad mooded custom worker could make trouble with a regular "BOOK".... oh no no - that´s a NOGO...

Cheers

It says restricted, not prohibited. It means that the may charge taxes.

For example with cigarettes:
24022090
Other cigarettes containing tobacco
Nil
35.2 cents for every gram or part thereof of each stick of cigarette

http://www.customs.gov.sg/leftNav/trad/val/List+of+Dutiable+Goods.htm

Also, when you travel your personal belongings cannot be taxed.

you can take like two or three bottles of wine and i think two cartons of smokes into sing before you have to pay a tax on anything above that. as far as flying out of sing you should seperate and dispurse your gear as much as you can. I don't even remember being searched at the airport arriving into sing. clearing customs was for me just showing my passport. Of course Im a visitor and things might be different for a national.
