Hi all,

Im new to this forum, so firstly - hello :)

Ive been on an e-cig for around 6 months, using the JAC-Vapour E-cig and e liquids. Its served me well but its time to move on to something better. Unfortunately Internet searches for advice in this respect are near-on impossible. Im UK based and looking to purchase a new set up online. I really need some help - any advice will be much appreciated. Im looking to spend approx £50-£100, unless its better to spend more?

Many thanks for reading.

Hello & welcome Garks :)

Jacvapour aren't bad, but they are a tad on the expensive side & the main problem is that their e-cigs all have KR808 threads & that really restricts you from buying from other UK vendors.

For your next step up, I'd recommend you go for a Riva or Ego (with 510 threads) or if you want to go a step further, something with variable voltage.

Have a look at this list of some of the good UK e-cig suppliers -

Thanks buddy appreciated. Is an eGo-c a good start?

an eGo-C is a solid start. The cones are a bit problematic for many people. Not using them correctly can result in leaking, and general unhappiness.

Chrissie has pointed you in a good direction for some searching. I hope you find everything you need. :D

You have to tell us what your looking for specifically mate. We dont know.
Do you want an eGo kit (2 sharpie sized batteries that will last 5-6 hours each)
Do you want a large battery mod that will last all day on a single charge, or with 2 batteries?
Do you want a variable voltage or variable wattage mod or a variable voltage eGo sized kit?
Do you KNOW what VV and VW even are?

Are you interested in any particular heads?
Bottom coil? Interested in Clearomizers with wicks?
Or are you planning on sticking with Cartomizers and potentially using cartomizer tanks?
Are you interested in learning to rebuild coils in the future? Or would you be willing to learn?

Thanks for the comments (so quick), much appreciated. The simplist way of answering is to say that i simply dont know what much of this means. All ive done so far is use the jac vapour kit, which is a battery and cart - before about 20 mi uses ago i didnt even know that anything else existed.

Sorry, i should do some more searching, i guess i was trying to short-cut things.

Ill try Chrissies link and see where I get to.

Thanks again

Variable Voltage ego style. I'm not sure on pricing in the UK, darn my statie life. But, those are great batteries. Look around for a kit that comes with the charger and a couple of clearos. I know another guy on the forum yesterday had found one for 30 quid. (I really can't make the pound mark). Good luck sir.

Hi and good luck. I can't recommend any UK vendors as I am in the US but I would go with an Ego "Twist" as recommended above. I prefer the Joye brand of Ego cig batteries. Twist means variable voltage. You can use it like a normal e cig out of the box and learn about the voltage feature later on this forum but it's really very simple to use and a game changer as far as flavor options for any liquid you choose. For the juice delivery system I recommend a Vivi Nova tank by Vision instead of cartridges/cartomizers although you can use any of these on an Ego battery. I am 5 months into this and love the Halo e liquids especially the Tribecca (caramel, vanilla and a bit of tobacco), Kringle's Curse (a creamy sweet peppermint) and Sub Zero (a sweet minty menthol). I was so lost and confused when I started and wanted desperately to succeed at this so I went looking for top quality items and the reason why I chose well known name brands in both the e cig hardware and liquids. I needed to quit and it was easy as I fell in love with vaping and these flavors. Wishing you all the best !

An easy and good start would be the following IMHO

2 ego C-Twist batteies........you can vary the voltage that is delivered to fit your tastes
A rapid charger or 2
Kanger Protank or 2......very easy to use for beginners, glass tank to handle any juice, easy to clean, and looks sharp
5 pack of replacement heads....always handy

Always good to have back-ups

Then all you need is some e-juice.....should cost about 100 US dollars

Answer some of Plumes.91's questions and we should be able to help you build a nice set-up

What really helped me sort things out was this:

1. Shop around at vendors to get an idea of products, their costs and availability

2. Watch some reviews of products on youtube.

3. Read up on specific issues related to said products here on ecf.

4. Repeat, keeping a list of gear that appeals to you as well as gear that does not.

Eventually you'll figure out what you want and how much you want to spend and who you're going to buy from. Everyone has different needs.
