Welcome to the club!

The standard answer is "adult diapers" (Depends) I started off with the little cigarette looking things (2 weeks) and Ego type with clearomizer (1 month) broke it, then a SLB Ego V V2 Mega (2 months) The variable voltage was great until one too many drops broke the internal wiring.

I use a USB passthrough connected to a 2 amp Samsung USB power supply and run it at 6 watts (4.2 volts on a 2.5 ohm coil) Since I tend to be rough on things, I'm going with a "mechanical" or the K100 with 18500 LiMn battery and 1.8 ohm coils in my Pro Tank and EVODs (7 watts) and will build my own 1.5 ohm coils (8.6 watts) for a change of pace. (Vape mail causes time to slooooow down)

If I had to do it all over again, I would of started with a VAMO with 18350 and 18650 battery options. Use the VAMO in the house and a mechanical for working, roaming around and yard work. A complex device but it will show you what wattage level works for you, the option is open to run it smaller with the smaller battery or quite large for loooong run times.

My neighbor is very interested in vaping, she likes the look of the ePalm ($19)which is an Ego type switch to have the ability to shut it off, power limit on the switch, timer etc. but you can replace the 18350 AW IMR battery when it gets low. Very simple device that will shut down when the battery gets too low, switch it on too long etc but allows use of interchangeable safer battery chemistry. I'll have her get the XTAR WPII charger with two LiMn batteries and a spare ePalm switch ($7) just in case. Figure it is a simple device with safety stuff built in, you can drop it all the time and spare switches are $7 a pop...cover all the bases. Chose the EVOD bottom coil clearomizers and Mini ProTank 2 (due out next month) with 2.2 ohm coils for a decent ~6 watt vape level.

If you are still reading and not screaming from the headache yet--at least purchase something that has replaceable batteries, carry a spare battery with you (enclosed in a plastic case for safety!) and swap when you need to. It seems a bit confusing right now but soon you sound like...well, us! Another borg to worry about....

You can also go to this excellent site for tons of videos and the A to Z of vaping. It won't kill you to take a few hours to get all the information you desire but not using cigs will give you those hours back quickly.

taste your juice website and click on the link on the left hand side that states "New to Vaping"
