I am currently working on a altered version of maddog's flashlight mod.
The reason it is altered is that I ordered my batteries before I researched the size needed to fit in that little flashlight.
I ordered a 3.7v 18650.
My buddy made that Sharpie Magnum mod to hold the 18650, and I was about the do the same thing when i found a way to make some space on the end for the wiring and connector.
The problem I am having is the battery pushes too hard on the circuit board and it loses connection with the inside of the tube. I had used some epoxy to hold it in place, and it worked fine for about 2 hrs. I had just applied the epoxy to the edge of the circuit board. I also made sure the solder connections were clean on the side.
What I am considering is either trying to cap the end of the tube with a lot more epoxy or trying something like rubber cement since that will have a little give, and hopefully not break like the epoxy did.
Anyone have any advice for me before I go try to put it back together ?
