Advice needed !

hey guys i have a
smok M80
TFV4 MINI tank
USING KANTHAL 28 GAUGE
smok R2 DUAL COIL

SO, I want to vape at around 50-60watts . But i cant seem to fire at 50 watts . When , i vape at around 50watts i always get the burnt taste . I've tried many ways but it still has the taste and the max in can go is around 30 watts.

PLEASE HELP ! WHAT IS IT IM DOING WRONG? IS IT THE TYPE OF COIL?

Did you prime your cotton / coil before filling and start @ a lower wattage for the first few pulls ?

yes i have primed the cotton and coil . I have started at around 20 and slowly increasing. But it still has the burnt taste

What ohms? Pre-installed 0.25 ohm coils? Max VG liquid? Is your vape very unsatisfactory at 30 watts?

1. Look at coil and cotton. If coil is much darker in spots or cotton is dark, trash coil because it is ruined!

2. Wicking - if you dont see a bubbles or two after the first pull of a well-primed coil (soaked inside and out before installing and assembling), try loosening the tank assembly until you see bubbles, loosen slowly though, and stop when you see bubbles.

use steam-engine.org to work out your coil.

what has happened is you have made a coil that operates at 20 to 30 watts, and you are trying to pump 50 watts into it.

If you want to run at 50 watts, you need to make a bigger coil that can take that kind of wattage.

If you twist your 28 gauge together to make thicker wire, and make over the same coil with this thicker wire, it's going to be able to take higher wattage, but it's also going to be a lot less ohms.

the thing is i I dont make coils , i usually go to a vapeshop and ask them to recoil . What should i tell them in order to make a bigger coil? btw, is clapton coil okay to vape around 50watts?

What ohm is the coil reading on your M80, do you have any more new
cotton, are you sure your in Variable Wattage Mode ?

my ohm is reading 0.4 , yea I do have new cotton. Yup im in wattage mode I dont use mech and the other one. what would you suggest me to do?

Your coil might be burned out! Once you get any burn sensation smell, or taste, lower the wattage. Like someone else said, prime your coil (add liquid to the coils cotton before you start vaping with it) when I started vaping I burned my first coil. Because the man at the vape shop never said to prime. He told me to just wait 30 minutes. Good Luck!

Why are you so pre-occupied with "Vaping At 50 Watts"?
As asked...is the vape NOT good at 20 or 30?

If indeed you are referring you own the R2 RBA deck, I would rather see you understand and have the ability to build your own coils and not be bound by your vape shop to dictate what coils "you like", start with standard micro coils, like fagan show's you in the video ..............

Why do you want to "vape at 50watts?"

IMHO you should slow down and try to learn how your gear works.
You will get a much more satisfying experience understanding how to get a good vape.

Slapping a coil on an atty and shoving 50 watts through it isn't the answer.

For me, I can relate, I started with a clearo on a stick @ 10w, as soon as I built a .5 on my rda & mech I had absolutely 0 need for cancer sticks anymore, but your right big difference between 35w and burning your juice @ 50, that is, if that's really what the M80 is putting out / ohms jumping ............
