Got my Q in the mail today... it's a really nice mod.
I have owned several and I am impressed with the feel... the quality and the look.

I have only had it a few hours...

I find myself using my fingers... or using my fingernail in the crack between the atty and connection...
I am having difficulty depressing the mouthpeice without using my teeth.

Any advice? how do you all use it?

I am using a 510 atty with a aluminum drip tip...

Personally I activate it with thumb and forefinger.
Becomes very natural in a very short time.

That's what I am doing now.

It's easy enough.

Thanks Rick.

I have spend twice as much on mods that don't perform this well. I can see why you have such a loyal fan base.

I want a mini now!

I put this in another thread, too, but thought I'd add it here given the thread title. See pics below on how I activate my copper. I simply use one of those mega paper clip thingys and remove the metal tabs. Gives a nice hook for your finger or thumb and doesn't get hot nearly as fast as the atty. Cheap and effective.

I use my thumb and forefinger too. But while watching a dvd on tv I'm often startled to discover that I just vaped without my thumb and forefinger. It just sometimes comes really naturally. The rest of the time it doesn't lol. I can try for hours and not ever master it. I have to be zoned out. (which is easy for me lol).

I couldn't agree more with your statements about the Q. I absolutely love mine, especially when busy doing chores.

Thanks Uma, glad you like it.
Another easy activation is to make a (VERY) easy Syringe mod. Then the syring "handle" becomes a "handle" so you just use one finger to pull down on the plunger.
More info here.

Rick, I want to try this, but I don't want to order the wrong parts. I've never purchased a CE2, so I don't know which one to buy. Also not sure which syringes to get. Any pointers? Also, since I've never taken apart a CE2, I wouldn't want to screw this up. Any pointers would be appreciated, especially in terms of which pieces to buy. Thanks as always.

Syringe: BD 3 mL Luer-Lok Syringe
CE2: CE2 Clearomizers (XL)

To disassemble, put CE2 on a battery, Remove the mouthpiece cap and the two inner silicone gaskets from on top of the heating coil assembly, then gently rock back and forth while pulling up, should come right off.

Cut your syringe to length, then stick the CE2 guts up through the syringe (use the end you didn't cut).

Thanks Stothek, that makes it real easy. Going to give this a try.

I keep meaning to write a proper article about that, but always end up getting side-tracked. There's quite a few YouTube videos on the procedure, just skip the part about cutting the top part of the syringe (where the flange is for the plunger) since you want to keep that part to work as a switch for the coppers.

Got my goodies yesterday and put one of these together last night when I got home from work. Golden. Works really well. Man, it does gulp down the juice, but I'm assuming that's a by-product of it working really well. As I've never had a CE2 until now, how long can I expect one of these to last? They seem relatively inexpensive, assuming they last a week or two each.

Believe it or not, the innards of a CE2 last darn near forever. They respond very well to cleaning and/or dry burning. It's generally the tubes on them that's the big issue.
